OK folks lets look at my strategy here. I'm constantly posting confusing and contradictory statements. Would this be a good strategy if I was mafia. Evidently not since I have my head on the chopping block right now. It is however a good precident to set for future games. But let's look at it another way. If I keep everybody confused then I'm less likely to get whacked right? Well at least I hope so. Now let's look at my voting. Have I voted along with anybody else in the past? The first round I voted for Higgi to make it a tie (which I did for my own entertainment and to buy time since I had no idea who to vote for). I then changed my vote to keep it a tie and insure the run off that I wanted. In the second round of votes I Ronburgandy? ALL BY MYSELF. It made no difference in the voting, but I was obviously not voting along with someone else. Nor did I in any way attempt to influence people to vote for anyone. If I were mafia I would likely want to control peoples' opinions of other players. That's how the game works.
You will also notice that I have not cast any votes that contributed to anyone's death. This keeps me free from the retribution of my fellow towns people. All of my votes have been meanigless except for the first round which caused a run off. Those votes saved people.
In short, you are voting for me because I am a clever wise a$$. Voting for me has been promoted by NBF who I am voting for, because I believe her to be mafia. If I am correct in that assumption then she knows that I'm not mafia and you are all being played. You should also note that she chnged her vote from Kdogg to me just in time to tip the vote away from her own demise. Can't say I blame her for that though.
Look at the votes people. Mafia vote together for a common goal. I have done no such thing. I can't possibly be working with anybody. It's clear as day that I'm not mafia.

Wonderful. Well at least there will be a run off. I am confident that the obvious fact of my voting history will speak for itself. I'm going to set up a trade show booth now. Hopefully I will not have much to address when I return. Especially since I will likely be sitting in my hotel drinking heavily at that time. I type like shit when I'm drunk.

Yes, let's look at our votes: In the first round, I voted with Tara, who it appears may have been mafia, and Krizz, who it appears probably was innocent. You voted with Sadie, who we really don't know much about.
In the runoff, we all voted for Tara except for you, Rooconteur, and Tara.
In the second round, I voted with Sadie, who you voted with in the first round, and Krizz, who, again, it appears was innocent.
You voted with Kdogg, Rooconteur, Kelaroo, and Higgi.
You talk about voting with a common purpose. What common purpose am I voting with? If I was working with Tara, I wouldn't have voted for her in the runoff. And I wasn't working with Krizz because we now believe he was innocent. If I was working with Sadie, were you working with her in the first round? And Krizz again.
I proposed earlier that you could be working with Rooconteur. Even if it's unlikely that you both are mafia again, it's still entirely possible. Even though you didn't vote for the same person in Round One, you did both vote for people other than Tara. And you were the one who was saying at the time that mafia would never vote for one of their own. It seems like maybe you were just trying to get us to think in circles. Surely, we would think that you would never say that if you were mafia. But then, why not go ahead and say it so that we will think you couldn't be mafia.
I don't know about Rooconteur, though. I suspect that you could be working with him, but it could just as easily be someone else.
As for not trying to influence anybody's vote, lots of us can say that. I didn't try to influence votes until Kdogg started accusing me. Even then, I wasn't trying to influence votes on to anyone in particular, I was trying to get votes off of me because I know I'm innocent.
Also, you say that I changed my vote off of Kdogg to tip it off of me. I only switched my vote off of Kdogg when he realized that I'm innocent and took his vote off of me.
I wasn't really sure about whether or not you were mafia when I started responding to your post, but now, after reading it and looking at the voting history, I'm pretty confident that you are.

Yeah. That's grasping at straws. I'm clearly innocent. My earlier post speaks for itself. You may well be innocent, but I haven't tried to off anybody.

I would like to say that the death stories have been rather lame. I'm going to send some PMs to the ref so that we can have better death stories. Should I get voted out or whacked I would like the opportunity to provide my own truly barbaric death story. There will be blood. Oh yes. There will be blood. Well maybe not actually, but it will be brutal nonetheless.
I've done scenarios from several possible angles - even the one he suggested to the group - and his name was the only one that came up every time.
I think he's more concerned with covering his own ass than finding/killing the Mafia. He said himself, he's creating confusion to keep his head off the chopping block. As he also pointed out, he has never voted with a majority of the Townspeople. He said he hasn't tried to kill anyone, either. Don't we Townspeople win games precisely because we go after the Mafia?
I think his Chaos Theory is counter-productive to the Townspeople's cause. Shouldn't we be reasoning about this stuff while we still outnumber the Mafia, instead of throwing out red herrings every other post? Truth be told, I'm not certain about his status one way or another...
At this point, it doesn't matter to me. I think he needs to go either way.
I don't think his M.O. is good for the Townspeople, regardless of his role. As the game advances and the player roster dwindles, I think his counterproductive/contrarian/wise-a$$ tendencies will do the Townspeople more harm than good. You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs... and I definitely can't rule out that he's a bad egg to boot. I think the game would be a lot clearer without him. He's stated that his votes are based on his own survival, rather than another player's guilt. That's not going to do us any good when we look at voting records, or if the Townspeople find themselves needing his vote to off a Mafia. His voting record, since it's not guilt-based, isn't going to be any help in analyzing vote histories either.
The way I see things, innocents currently outnumber the Mafia 7-2. I don't think the Townspeople can afford the luxury of ridding themselves of a counterproductive loose cannon much longer. I think the Townspeople's chances of success here will diminish the longer he sticks around.
If he's Mafia, which I think he could well be, we're doing our job as Townspeople. If he's innocent, I think getting rid of him is better for the long-term success of the Townspeople's cause. If he is innocent, the Mafia will whack another innocent at night. At that point, I think we'll have 5 innocents, 2 Mafia and more information to go on. We can vote off NBF next round. We won't have the luxury of getting rid of his counter-productivity next round.
...and if none of that convinced you, I've assembled some of Fishingmaniac's greatest hits for your reading enjoyment.
