Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm on there for Allen Toussaint and King Sunny Ade, but I must admit I've seen neither. My review would be based solely on their albums. If somebody who has seen them would like to do the review, go for it.
Amadou and Mariam haven't been added to the lineup yet, but Jambase confirmed that they would appear. I saw them at Roo 06 and am pretty familiar with their albums as well. I'd be happy to write about them if no one else wants it.

I can write one for Zac Brown Band!!
In fact, here it is:
Zac Brown likes his chicken fried. He likes cold beer (on a Friday night). He is also very partial to a pair of jeans that fit just right, and very particular about the volume of his radio. Zac Brown hails from a wooded area of Georgia, mostly likely somewhere other than Atlanta. He endorses patriotism and southern delicacies.
On a more serious note, I will do one for RRFB once they get added.

Seeing a band live is a plus, but writing a description just based off of album stuff is more than fine.
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
It should be first-come-first-served. I was the only one on TVOTR like 8 hours ago, now I'm one of two? Not cool, brah.
Don't worry man, I'm just listing who wants what. The fact that it's the only band you want to do and that you were first are going to factor in big time in the selections.

just to let everyone know...
i've got this music blog naterosing.blogspot.com and i'm currently working on this preview guide for the site about this year's bonnaroo artists
i've never really done this before but i did it last year for a cincinnati music festival called midpoint - featured such artists like felice brothers, aa bondy, boston spaceships, the sadies, ha ha tonka, backyard tire fire, why?, oh my god, say hi - anyways, a local entertainment weekly magazine called citybeat enjoyed my blog so much that they hooked me up with a free press pass for that festival last year

i think we could probably just use your blog for this. if you need any help with any of the artists then someone else could help cover those.
am ireally the only one who said they would do phish? weird, but i'll take it.
I wasn't gonna pick them because I thought there would be a mad scramble for them... What do you say we collaborate, or do multiple perspectives on the headliners, or do a take on both the late nite and prime time versions of Phish!!
Nah, this is only the signup. I want to get all signups done by Sunday afternoon so that I can release the schedule Sunday night. Following the schedule, a new thread will be created by the appropriate band's writer. Also, just a note, avoid double (or triple) posting when you can. It makes it a lot easier to scroll around and update the signup sheet when I can see a lot of people's choices on the screen at one time.

There's going to be discussion threads for each band description, so if you want, you can talk to jbaruch and arrange loading up two descriptions at the same time (on the same thread). Or if you guys want to do a collaboration then that's fine with me too. Just let me know what you guys are doing.
Technically anyone can do any band (we're not going to delete your posts on the band's description thread), but the permission to open the thread is given to the person who's officially writing about it.

Since nobody has signed up for him, I'll do Elvis Costello. (But I'm not actually going to Roo this year, so if someone who is going wants to write it, I don't mind a bit to let them do so!)
would it be possible to write mine after april 21?
booker t's new album, potato hole, comes out that day, with the drive-by truckers as his backing band, as well as neil young appearing on the album
i'd really like to hear the album so i know what to expect at bonnaroo
Yeah, totally.
Okie dokie folks. I want to get the schedule up by Sunday night, but we still have a lot of gaps to fill. We need some volunteers to step up (BIG TIME!). Thanks.
