I wasnt really into the Killers, I turned it off a few songs in. Its not that they were really bad they just were not really doing anything for me, if I was at Chella I would def. be at Mastadon over The Killers.
I caught the first three or four songs of the Killers' set and if I were there I would be having a good time. I prefer their Hot Fuss material over their newer stuff but their music is solid. They won't change the world but hypothetically I'd prefer them as a Roo headliner over another year of Panic.
Just tuned in, today probably has the best schedule of any day so far. Should be fun to see a few bands that will be playing Roo and of course The Cure!
Never even heard of BJM but they are really good from what im hearing.
We need some psychedelic on the farm! I wonder whatever happened to the Spiritualized rumor? How about some Black Angels or Brian Jonestown Massacre or Golden Animals, AC/Superfly?!?
Aside from Brandon Flowers and the guitarist acting like huge douches, The Killers weren't half bad and I wouldn't be opposed to having them on the farm one year (just not as headliners). It'd be a fun show
Gotta disagree with the White Lies hatred. Yeah, they knock off Joy Division and The Cure, but they do it pretty damn well, imo (same goes for stellastarr*), and I really enjoyed their record

Anybody see the trippy lightbulb field they had going on at night in the video it was crazy, coachella really does have some crazy theatrics like a huge fire blowing dinosaur and other night artistic stuff.
Bonnaroo has stuff like that, as well. I highly recommend checking out the Art of Such N Such anytime you get a chance. They do crazy fireshows and sideshow stuff after the headliners each night and on Thursday night. Really cool stuff

i thought yesterdays schedule was pretty solid aside from electric touch, the killers even had some good energy, though i dont like his voice or his content, today has made out to be more than i expected also
I have to agree with the perception that Coachella is prettier to look at. The grounds appear well kept and they seem to do a bit more on the artsy front. But with 50 minute sets I'd say that it's style over substance there. I'll take Roo and watch the Coachella highlights -- it seems designed for the soundbite.

This makes me look foward to Roo even more then I was, Okkerville & Jenny Lewis both killed it. Cant say that im expecting much from Public Enemy but it would be cool to be pleasantly surprised.
