Swamp Witch, I am dissapointed that you are not named after a Scooby Doo villian like the image was in my imagination until you burst it
Do you think my boss is a bunghole for calling me from her vacation in the Virgin Islands to tell me that today is NOT a holiday and we close at 5:30 as usual?
If you could have any vehicle you wanted what would it be?
Would you wear a hot pink jumpsuit to an 80's party?
What was the worst present anyone has ever given you?
What, am I an ass for asking that? Didn't I try to keep it positive by referring to them as "dreamy?" Wouldn't it have come up anyway, even if I hadn't asked? Is it better to get the elephant out of the room early, or let it linger? Is some apology expected of me that's not gonna happen?
OK, have some regular questions now.
Who is your favorite comedian? What were your high school extracurricular activities? Who is your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? What is your favorite curse word? Met anyone famous?

Very sorry to burst your bubble. I watched a little Scooby Doo in my day, but I never would have remembered that.
Do you think my boss is a bunghole for calling me from her vacation in the Virgin Islands to tell me that today is NOT a holiday and we close at 5:30 as usual? Yes, definitely.
If you could have any vehicle you wanted what would it be? This one:
Okay, not really, I'll take this one, please:
(I feel like I should add that this is a highly uneducated answer, as I know almost nothing about cars.)
Would you wear a hot pink jumpsuit to an 80's party? It wouldn't be my first choice of things to wear, but if I had one and it didn't make me look like a cow, I might. If planning an outfit for an 80's party, I'd be much more likely to go with something along these lines:
What was the worst present anyone has ever given you? Off the top of my head, my aunt and uncle gave me a box of Peanut Brittle for Christmas one year. I don't even like Peanut Brittle.
What was the best! The first year that Josh and I were together, we went to the mall one day, and I pointed out a leather-bound journal that I absolutely loved. He later surprised me with it for Valentine's Day.

What, am I an ass for asking that? Maybe a little bit, but there are worse things you could have asked.
Didn't I try to keep it positive by referring to them as "dreamy"? I don't know the answer to this. Only you know what you were trying to do by referring to them that way. I did think it was an interesting word choice, though.
Wouldn't it have come up anyway, even if I hadn't asked? Possibly.
Is it better to get the elephant out of the room early, or let it linger? Getting it out is probably preferable. Elephants don't smell very good, and eventually, they are gonna sh!t all over the place.
Is some apology expected of me that's not gonna happen? I expect no such thing.
Who is your favorite comedian? There was a time when I would have said David Cross, but that time passed when I saw him at Roo in 2007. There are some really good ones out there, and I was lucky enough to get to see several perform in Atlanta in the last couple of years. Although not the best of them, I think my favorite is Doug Benson because the looks on his face crack me up. Louis CK, Patton Oswalt, and Brian Posehn were all close contenders.
What were your high school extracurricular activities? I was in Art Club and Spanish Club, although neither of those clubs actually had after-school meetings. We had a day once a week when we met during school. I also did two years of Mock Trial. Other than that, I mostly hung out at a coffee shop and watched a ton of movies.
Who is your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? Leonardo, for reasons I don't care to discuss.
What is your favorite curse word? It seems too easy, but I've gotta go with fvck. It just serves so many purposes.
Met anyone famous? Met is probably too strong a word, but I had my picture taken with Doug Benson, and he autographed my cd:
Also had my picture taken with Brian Posehn, and he autographed the cardboard from Josh's Nerd Rage record:
And I got Harry Shearer's autograph after Unwigged and Unplugged, but that doesn't even come close to counting because not even a "hello" was exchanged then.
That's all I can think of, unless you count That 1 Guy as famous because he signed our DVD and we got to tell him how much we enjoyed his show.

What is at the bottom of your purse? It's casual day at work, so I'm carrying the bag I made, which gets emptied frequently. My ipod and headphones are in the bottom of it right now. My regular purse likely has some sort of receipts in the bottom of it.
I just thought it was a little insensitive, I mean to say that she didn't have to accept BMOTM because of what happened. I had her pegged for BMOTM before all that happened and I wish we could just move past all that and appreciate the fact that we have Hilari around cause she is a great person.
And we actually responded at the same time when I posted that and I went back and edited it so that it contained your quote. I just don't like to delete posts.
I say we put it all behind us, we all love each other here so let's move forward.

That's not why I said that. What I meant was if she didn't want to answer questions on that whole incident, accepting a position in the thread where people can ask you any question they want isn't the best idea.
I have absolutely no problems with nothingbutflowers and certainly don't connect her posting with whatever sal/g king did, I don't think anybody else does either.

I went to Blockbuster on my lunch hour.
While walking to the register with Sherlock Holmes, I glimpsed i ♥ huckabees out of the corner of my eye and stopped short. I always thought it was a dumb title, but I thought of your post and picked up the box. Then I read the back, saw the great cast, and said, "What the hell, the Swamp Witch likes it!"
If nothing else, your quote should be the one on the back of the box
"I have a lot of favorite movies, but if I have to pick one, I'll almost always say I Heart Huckabees" -The Swamp Witch, Inforoo BoardMemberOfTheMonth
i looooove that movie!! it came out when i was studying abroad in england and i saw it twice in theaters even though it cost 15 dollars each time. such a random cast of people in such a quirky movie.
also, while i can't believe i'm saying i agree with nodepression, i can't imagine that NBF thought no one would bring it up. i honestly don't really give a shiz, but i also think that you did know what was going on (you're no idiot, NBF). i also think you weren't encouraging him or doing it too....but you also didn't do anything to stop it. anyways...that's over and done.

Are you wearing any jewelry right this second? What is your most sentimental possession? How do you feel about people asking you to remove your shoes when you enter their house? What is your favorite flower? Do you have any hidden talents or superpowers?

Are you wearing any jewelry right this second? I am. I always wear my Les Claypool bass string bracelet, and right now, I also am wearing my super-cool bracelet from that store you took me to in San Diego:
What is your most sentimental possession?
A pillow my grandmother made me out of my dad's baby blanket:
How do you feel about people asking you to remove your shoes when you enter their house?
It usually seems a little unnecessary to me, but I really don't like wearing shoes, so I'm never going to have a problem with being asked to remove them.

I love love LOVE your bracelets and your new avatar! I am also glad you changed your name back.
Easter is tomorrow... do you celebrate? How long have you and your best friend been friends? Favorite drink? What does your last text message say? Have you ever been fired from a job? Mustard or mayonnaise? Right or left handed? What's your middle name? Do you take your vitamins?
I love love LOVE your bracelets and your new avatar! I am also glad you changed your name back.
Thanks!
Easter is tomorrow... do you celebrate?
Not really. If I was in Knoxville, I'd probably go out to my grandparents house for ham, macaroni and cheese, and deviled eggs, but I'm not much for the religion these days, so it isn't really a holiday I go out of my way to recognize.
How long have you and your best friend been friends?
I don't really have a "best friend" in the traditional sense. I never got really good at the whole "social" thing. I had friends in school, but I spent all my summers out of the state, so every year, the person who had been my best friend during the past year was almost always best friends with someone else when I came back. Sad, right? Anyway, I did make some friends in law school and at jobs, but nobody that I'd call a "best friend." I guess Josh is really my best friend, but that's kind of a lame answer. Nevertheless, he's been my best friend for just over 10 years. Apart from that, the friend I am closest to is also my oldest friend, and we've been friends for 25 years, since 1st grade.
Favorite drink?
Non-alcoholic - unsweet tea (I know, it's blasphemy to be from the south and prefer unsweet. I don't sweeten it with anything, either. I used Sweet-N-Low as a kid, but I'm now officially scared of that stuff.)
Alcoholic - Guiness on draft.
What does your last text message say?
"Driving. Why?"
Have you ever been fired from a job?
Nope. The closest I've come to that was when I worked at Kay's Ice Cream in high school. I gave two weeks notice, and they told me just to not bother coming back.
Mustard or mayonnaise?
Mayo on ham, mustard on turkey.
Right or left handed?
Righty.
What's your middle name?
Dawn.
Do you take your vitamins?
No. Occasionally, I decide I'm going to be good and start taking a multi-vitamin, usually right after I've been to the doctor. That lasts about a week.

Also, I need to amend my answers for favorite comedian and met anyone famous.
My favorite comedian is Eddie Izzard. I clearly had a brain fart when I answered that before because, much as I love Doug Benson, Eddie Izzard easily tops my list of favorite comedians.
As for famous people, my friend from work is married to Roman Fleysher, who took Tim Burton's place as saxaphonist for the Mighty Mighty Bosstones for awhile. They are who we went out with last night. He's a pilot now, and he's pretty modest about the whole Bosstones thing. We had much fun with them.

Yay for the San Diego bracelet...I may just have to go back and see if I can find one for myself
Onto more questions: What is the yummiest thing you can bake or cook? Have you ever owned a pet rock? Do you drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day? What, if any, sports do you enjoy watching or playing? Which is better, waffles or pancakes? What is the approximate square footage of your current abode? What is the weather like today? How many pillows are on your bed?
Love what you did with the place! Motel chic is the way to go.
I thought it was a good look.
What was your favorite class in law school?
Law and Literature. I was a Lit major in undergrad, so that class was right up my alley. Also, the teacher was this wonderful, little country lady who you would look at, and listen to, and expect to be really uptight, but she was actually surprisingly liberal and really funny. She freakin' loved Bill Clinton.
Edit: Of the standard law classes, Workouts and Reorganizations (Bankruptcy seminar) with Professor Kuney was probably my favorite. I liked all of my Bankruptcy classes, though.
Whoa. Judy Cornett. I just graduated from the same law school last May. Loved Judy Cornett, but had her for a class called the Jury System rather than Law & Literature. Had Kuney for Contracts I, which isn't my favorite subject matter, but he made it interesting.
I am mostly a Criminal Law guy, so I was a major proponent of Tom Davies. I also enjoyed taking a few Environmental Law classes (and Moot Court) with Rivkin.

What year did you graduate?
I had Prof. Cornett for Civ.Pro. I, Law & Lit., and Jury Systems. She was awesome. I stuck mostly with the business classes, but I had Prof. Davies for Criminal Law and Rivkin for Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiation. They were both really good professors.
I graduated in 2006. Are you working at a firm now?
When was it? How long were you there? What took you there? I understand you, too, went to Casa Guadalajara. What did you have? Was there a pitcher of margaritas involved?

Cool. I guess we almost crossed paths, then. I'm working for a very small firm in Kingsport, TN right now. It's going well, but 'm just looking at it as an apprenticeship, and hoping to find employment in Nashville or Knoxville in a year or so.
OK. Sorry for the brief hijack. Here is a question I have asked previous BMOTMs: If you had to choose one, would you rather be blind or deaf?
