If this has been asked sorry, but is there one band that everyone loves on this board that you just don't get? Or don't think is as good as people make them out to be?
Also is there any show at Bonnaroo that you wish you had went to? A set that you wish you hadn't?
I'm gonna have to say Sigur Ros. I can appreciate what they do, so it's not that I don't think they're good or that people on here are insane for obsessing over them, but I just don't get it. I remember watching the webcast last year during Bonnaroo and I literally fell asleep in my chair.
I 100% without a doubt want to kick myself every day for missing Gov't Mule in 07. The Flaming Lips were awesome, it was a great time and I don't regret going to their show for any reason other than because I missed one of the greatest sets in Roo history.
And I really wish I didn't waste my time and sunburn on seeing Kings of Leon that year too. The main stage is simply too big for them, I don't know what they were thinking in putting them there to be honest. The technical difficulties they had only added to the misery, although I guess that's not all the band's fault. Either way, that show was a waste for me
What's the best, non-music related, occurrence that's happened to you at 'Roo?
What's your real name?
If you could have someone famous follow you around for a day who would it be?
What's the worst date you've ever been on?
What song sticks out most in your mind from '07 'Roo and '08 AllGood?
Well, I guess my favorite all around memory from Roo would be sitting around our camp after the FLips show. A bunch of our crew still had the laser pointers and we were messin' with each other and overall just laughing, having a good time. One person started targeting me with their laser and for whatever reason I felt the need to say that I can handle it cause I know the laser can never actually hurt me (this was after one person in our camp flipped out over the laser "aiming" at him) and immediately afterwards the person chucked the laser pointer at me and hit me square in the forehead. Hands down, this was the funniest thing that had probably ever happened to me and hours of laughter ensued. Literally, we were laughing about it until the sun came up I guess that probably isn't as fun or too great if you weren't there though...

Currently, I'm gonna have to go with Mike Gordon. I think he's got some pretty interesting insight on matter that I'd love to hear and discuss. Plus, I've been wanting to learn how to play the bass, so maybe he could help me get started with that
Ha! Probably the one where I said "I'll swing by your place at 6" and upon showing up at her place at said time she was nowhere to be found. I don't think I've ever actually made it to the date part of the night and had a terrible time... but maybe you should ask the people I went with for the better answer
Roo 07: Ben Harper - Dazed and Confused, with John Paul Jones AllGood 08: The Blue Method - Have a Cigar
weird how neither of them are originals... but they were both badass in their own right

^^^
This is like the time in another thread when someone mentioned they saw My Bloody Valentine and someone went on to say they didn't really like the movie. They just dont get it haha.
EDIT: Well now this just looks silly, but before someone else tried to answer Strums question haha. The error has since been fixed making this post seem out of place. But I'm keeping it here because I still can't believe someone mistook My Bloody Valentine the seminal shoegazing band for My Bloody Velentine the crappy 3d horror movie.

Alright Strum, you have the pleasure of booking the special show "My Morning Jacket and Friends" for the headlining spot at Bonnaroo 2011. Who do you bring out to guest with them and on what songs? One caveat: No Members of The Dead or Phish please.

Alright so despite my undying urge to throw Mike Gordon on a song or two, I stuck to the rules... but ppptthhhh on you for that! Can somebody get in the works to make this happen? I'll buy your Roo '11 ticket if you arrange it And yeah, I totally stopped listening to MMJ after arranging the first two sets and put on some Bisco and it's painfully obvious... but you can't tell me that won't be a ridiculous encore that would have you on your feet worshipping all that is man ;D

I just realized I used Warren Haynes who is a member of The Dead... but let's be honest, having any sort of show revolving around guest appearances and ruling out Warren Haynes is like the cardinal sin of collaborating!
1) Sloth, only because of the mammal which was named after it
2) $250ish for ticket, $30ish for gas, $300 for everything else there if I'm fortunate to have the funds. So I guess anywhere from $500-$600 is a good estimate.
3) 16 - OK, TX, FL, NC, VA, MD, PA, NJ, NY, HI, AK, CA, GA, WV, TN, IL
4) Do bears shit in the woods? For the record, which power hour are you referring to? The one shot of beer every minute is a joke. I've done a shot of liquor of choice every 5 minutes before, and that knocked me on my ass... but I did finish it
At what point does a person make enough money that if they don't donate some of it to charity (or use it in a charitable way, even if they don't officially donate it to a technical charity) you would consider them a bad person?
Who taught you to ride a bike? (Did someone already ask that? Why does that question sound familiar in my head?)
What's your opinion on the people on the TLC shows who have tons of kids? (Not necessarily Jon & Kate where they had multiple births. I'm thinking more along the lines of the 18 Kids & Counting people where they just keep pumpin' 'em out.)

Oh God, some of this would make my life. Ryan Adams and MMJ, Jonny Greenwood and MMJ. Holy Shit, definitely some great choices there.
You've mentioned Kings of Leon before, what do you think of the direction they're going. Do you think they've sold out?

^ I, for one, think this is a great question.
I'll be notifying the authorities about the communist in our midst...

Do you want to live to be really, really old?
1) I really don't think a person's character should be judged based solely on how much the donate to charity. It doesn't really matter how much money a person makes, if they don't give hundreds or thousands of dollars to charities that's their choice and doesn't make them a bad person in my book.
2) I taught myself. It might be why I don't really ride bikes anymore
3) I'm not a fan of anyone making money off of a TV channel just because they have lots of babies. If a couple decide they want 18 kids and so they do, that's fine... but don't rely on TLC as a source of income to the family. I used to enjoy John & Kate + 8 at times too, but I recently read somewhere that they make $300,000 per episode. That's just ridiculous. It doesn't help that I think Kate is a humongous btch, either
4) Absolutely. So long as I'm able to support myself and am not bed-stricken then I'm all about living to be 100. Once I'm forced to live in confinement though I could see myself starting to get a bit irritated and senile. But I'll be really old, so it'll be normal to be senile

Hmmm... I hate saying a band or artist has sold out, but I guess sometimes there's just no better word for it. I don't know that KoL have sold out though. They were huge overseas before becoming so popular here in America. Somebody just saw the potential for money in them, and I can imagine it's really hard for a band to turn down an offer to become rich. I really just think that they've started making shitty music. I don't know if it has a whole lot to do with their popularity status or selling out or anything. They just went a direction that I really can't get into. If they went back in the direction of Youth and Manhood or Aha Shake Heartbreak that would be most excellent, in my opinion
If you had to marry an Inforooster, whom would it be?
Clairity. We could plan our wedding and think it'd be an awesome wedding and everyone else could come and tell us how their wedding is way better or that ours sucks and is desperate for attendance
I met a guy in college with the name, but I wouldn't say that I really know him. I do know of a guy with the name, I guess would be the better way of putting it
