So where and at what time did he play? I did not even know about this..not that I would have gone to his set anyway no need to see Buffet booring IMO...but there was no annoucement or anything posted anywhere that I saw.
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."

He covered the Grateful Dead and Van Morrison, and started my day off with a smile. Not as crazy as a NIN or Mars Volta show but I wasn't bored at all.
There were announcements in the Bonnaroo Beacon (daily roo newspaper thing) and they also sent out e-mails......but those e-mails arrived like the day before Roo so not many people heard.

He played on Saturday morning at around noon. Ilo was supposed to play, but I only saw him on like two songs. It was a great time too! I loved when he played A Pirate Looks at 40 and Scarlet Begonias. (The cover of brown eyed girl was ok,but it had been scorched into my mind at a young age so I could have done with out it) Everyone I saw was into it and although no one was really going nuts it was a really chill show.

It was definately a pleasant surprise seeing Jimmy. I decided to skip Springsteen because I caught this show. Everyone was having a blast and I couldn't even see the end of the crowd.
I heard security was turning people away because The Which was at capacity, did anyone witness this?

impossible. there's so many different ways to get to the which stage that there'd be no way for security to block all sections.
also there was PLENTY of room. off on either side there were people playing frisbee and stuff. definitely not super crowded. I don't think that was true.........at least didn't see any of it myself.
i was listening from the comfort and shade of my camp. just finished a tasty corn breakfast, and was like "wait...i hear buffet doing brown-eyed girl.....is that somebody's radio? no? nice!"

Just something I heard, I was up front and stayed for the whole set.
It was definitely a nice way to start the day. The lines to get in Centeroo were long, so we missed the first couple of songs. From what I saw, plenty of people were doing the landshark fin deal so it I'd say the crowd was pretty into it. Buffett would never get a headline spot but he definitely is a great entertainer.
Best part for me? I heard about it on here the day before I left and the last thing I threw in the coolers was a pitcher of Margaritas. Made up a 32 oz one and instead of a cab hitched a ride from a guy driving in. Was only half finished so I used my patented "lift and spin" technique at security. It has ALWAYS worked and I hope it continues if i go back. They are SO focused on pockets they don't notice the drink lifted above your head with your camera and wallet and stuff.
It even worked at Dave Matthews in St. Louis a few days later with a 32oz vodka and energy drink (granted this time it was wrapped in my printed ticket...). Shit, I did it the next night too cause my gf wanted to see brad paisley. You save ALOT of money at a concert with a nice 50/50 mixed drink snuck in. Use styrofoam with a lid...
Anyway, got there about the middle of the set and had just enough Margarita when he closed with Margaritaville. Felt good start the day. Went back and slept all afternoon though!
