^^^So true. Definitely one of my favorite years! Well we will run into each other at the Brunch this year!! As long as we both go....I made more cakepops then any one person could consume...so I HAVE to go!
Yeah last year we tried the Wednesday thing and it wasn't quite the success we had in 2010....but this year is the year, haha!
I'll be camped at Camp Inforoo all weekend so we will definitely catch each other! I think I remember you textin' me about the awful wait y'all had last year Wednesday night.
Safe travels and I look forward to seein' you at brunch!
When does the line to ROO start forming? I would like to get in line and be fairly close to the front when they start to open gates.
If you get close to the front when they're opening the gates you will be stuck in BFE and possibly not allowed to leave until the next morning. Trust me, not the best to go in first.
We rolled in hours after they opened the gates Wednesday night and got a much better spot than the people who were first on line at the gate when they opened.

I understand of the negatives of being in first- I still would like to be
Mostly due to not knowing if my truck can handle sitting in traffic for too long.

My friends and I pulled into the I24 entrance around 11pm wed night, only waited in line for 15 min. After security checks they were sending us to pod 1 thru the VIP camp grounds. What we did was pull over right beside camping only, got the canopies and actually had time to take out everything. Got back in line and we ( me and my friend andy) were stuck in pod 1 till 3am.
In line for maybe 30 minutes, we were one of the first 300 in I'd say. BFE isn't that bad, especially with the back entrance (until they shut it down at midnight).
2012 got inline around 5pm Wednesday and went straight in. Straight to BFE....
In 2011 got inline around 6pm Wednesday and were inline for about 7 hours but got an awesome spot just off shakedown.
2009 got inline Thursday morning and were inline about 4 hours I think and wound up at the back end of shakedown, almost on the corner of bushy branch.
2008 same as 2009 but were much further away. Not BFE but still out there
As long as gates open Wednesday ill never wait in another Thursday line again. Unless Wednesday turns to Thursday while I'm still in line which I mean, what can ya do.

Last year the plan was to open the gates earlier. They had staff out and working a few hours earlier and what a difference. By the Wednesday night majority of lots were full and management seemed in awe as to how smoothly things were going. Also the tollbooths usually arnt informed about the printable carpool flyer for a chance to upgrade your tickets to VIP until 3 hours into our shifts and we've let many flyer holders go by before were told pick the next person and direct them to the management office.
2012 was my first year and I got in line around 9pm wednesday only waited about 30 min. The only thing was that I camped in BFE, although I didn't hate it I would rather camp closer to centeroo. I know theirs not an exact science, but what would be the ideal time to get a camping spot in Pod 2 or 3 without waiting 4+ hours..
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

Luck of the draw, itrainmonkeys and myself also got in line at 9 or so and we were in the first row of vehicles behind VIP. The real answer is just go to tent only if you want a close spot.
