not to be a jerk, but in my opinion, this kicks the nuts out of bonnaroo's lineup.
i agree. i really miss bonnaroo but sasquatch's lineups are more in line with my tastes. i wish sasquatch had a centeroo, cuz if you're not at a stage there's not much to do/see/buy. and late night would be nice, cuz i can see conflicts with the dance tent and the headliners.
but anyway, just bought a rez at wildhorse, so biglou and i are heading to the gorge for our one year Sasquatch/wedding anniversary. ;D

I didn't know this was at the Gorge. That's amazing. It's a beauitful venue overlooking the Columbia River. I saw DMB there in 2002. There's all kinds of places to hike. We stayed at the Gorge camping the first night, got searched like crazy, went to the show, came back and slept under the stars, woke up in the am and our cooler was gone. We placed it right between us, I can't believe that somebody had the balls to steal it. We didn't have tickets for the second night so we went swimming in the river and hiked all day. When we came back to the campgrounds we got searched again and had some really nice glass confiscated along with some funky corn. We immediately packed up and went to Wild Horse Campgrounds. That's the spot. It's completely private and the owners are wonderful. One of my friends got hammered the last night of the DMB run and he disappeared. We searched for about two hours after the show for him to no avail. They were arresting people who were walking on the roads for some reason that night so we were really worried because we had to leave the next day for Indiana. The owners drove us around in their van until we found him wondering on the side of the road. It's proably the best camp site Ive ever stayed at. I wouldn't even think of camping at the Gorge. They are super strict.

Hey Beautiful, haven't seen you around here for a while.
wow, bonnaroo topped by sasquatch, what's this world coming to?
even though I'm an ardent supporter of 'roo, I cannot help but drool over this lineup and look up flights to seattle...damage control roo!! lineup additions needed stat!!

^^This
I was about to say the same thing. I feel like Sasquatch is such an inferior festival. They should not hve a greater lineup than bonnaroo.
Shit man, the west coast gets Coachella and Sasquatch now, who both beat Roo's line-up hands down. I wish there was something of equal awesomeness on the east coast.

Maybe topped by headliners that inforoo members want.
But the 5th and 6th acts of Sasquatch are MGMT and Vampire Weekend. Now, I'm a fan of both but did they really blow up that much that they are 5th and 6th on the lineup that beats roo?
Personally, I like Roo better. But I think I like Mountain Jam even more. It all comes down to what each of us likes.

Vampire Weekend, yeah. Contra debuted at #1 on Billboard which just doesn't happen with indie acts. The only other independent artists to do it in the past decade were Radiohead, Pearl Jam, and the Eagles - all of whom were big established acts when they went 'indie'. So yeah, the band's breaking records. They're probably the most popular indie act out there right now.
As far as MGMT goes... eh, people like em. It's too bad they're so damn spotty live.

It's a nice lineup. much better then last year, not as good as the year before. if i lived within 10 hours i would be there.... but i can't drive 28 hours
Same diff. Flights are probably cheaper to Seattle.
My campsite is booked ;D
last year people coming from seattle were stuck in traffic for hours. we had no traffic coming from spokane.
Well...it is Memorial Day weekend. The Gorge is 3 hours from Seattle, so obviously plan accordingly...don't fly in to Seattle at 5 pm unless you want to set up camp in the dark.
can't find any flights that are reasonable. i guess its because its over memorial day weekend . if i can find a cheaper flight i'm def. there for sure. unfortunately i'm on the east coast so driving just isn't an option. hmmmm.
I gave Sasquatch my Bonnaroo dollars this year. Went in '08 and absolutely loved the venue. Flew in to Seattle on Friday and had no problems with traffic that afternoon/evening, or on the return Tuesday morning/afternoon.

If anyone is curious about how the schedule might shape up, one of the Sasquatch board posters popped the 2010 lineup into the 2009 schedule grid. Here's a link to his post:
