Hi there. Long time lurker here. I've been reading some of the posts and wanted put in my helpful advice. I used to live in washington in a tiny town called Othello which is about an hour from the gorge. We used to see shows there all the time and I have to say it's the most beautiful venue I've ever seen. For those that are flying Seattle is prolly cheaper but further to drive. Spokane is great. There is also an airport in Pasco which is about an hour and 45 minutes from the gorge. just take 395 to 17 then west on 90. It's the back way but it will cut your trip way down. If you need to do some shopping- If you are coming from Spokane you can pull into a town called Moses Lake (30 min. from gorge). there are a couple of grocery stores I think Safeway and Leprekon. If you come from Pasco there is a walmart off of 17 in Othello. From Seattle I would stop in Ellensburg. If you camp at the Gorge you may want a cot or somthing to keep you off of the ground. We found it hard to find a flat area. lots of hard crab grass. There is also a camp ground in Vanage which is right over the columbia river bridge and I think they usually have shuttles. Wish we were going this year. Our NW friends wanted to go to Bonaroo this year so Sasquatch will have to wait till next year (we take turns traveling for our visits). I know this post is probably a little late for everyone going. Have fun and drink in the beauty of the Pac NW!
Had a great time at Sasquatch. The bands were great as expected. The National and Vampire Weekend, probably my favorite shows. Lots of smaller bands were also worth the trip. Camping at Wildhorse was the best idea I've ever had. 1000% better than the venue camping. Lush grass to camp on, food after the shows and in the mornings. The staff there, second to none! It's a very long drive and the line up will have to blow me over for a return trip. I think it's back to the farm next year. Two years away is a long time. Sasquatch also has to do something about the cost of food and beer. 12 bucks for a Molsen? 9 bucks for a hot dog? There also is not enough port a pots. Late in the day bathrooms runs are dangerous to your health. Stop being so cheap the do the right thing for your customers Sasquatch! Hope everyone else had a great time.
