Good luck with that. I've looked all day for something closer and came up with the big zip.
Let me know if you find something.
heh - sometimes it is easier when you are closer and when you spend as much time in NOLA as we do - I will let you know when I find something tho
there is still lots avilable down there - booked a room for two nights at the Hotel Dupre on Decatur for $219 per night (which is not great but not too bad with 4 to a room)

If anyone needs a room second weekend I can help. You can have my room at the Holiday Inn Express in the CBD. Price is only $119 per night (INCLUDING ALL TAXES). Prices on their website at $254. Email me at nolaphish@live.com if you want it.

The problem is we are doing both weekends and trying not to spend more than a grand. We have something booked in the Six Flags area for the duration but ........ Cabs/Parking is gonna kill us.
We shall see though. Truth be told I'm not that worried about it. I'm just excited to be having a honeymoon a year an a half after the wedding.

I'd be excited also - NOLA is where we honeymooned. Not a very exotic place but for us it was right. Boz proposed to me in Jackson Square in NOLA so we honeymooned there.

And I thought I got a good deal. You definitely got the hook up.
So the room is still available at $119 per night (includes taxes!) and thats WAY cheaper than their website at $254 PLUS taxes. Email me at nolaphish@live.com

was gonna email you - but went and looked at the hotel website and they have no rooms with double beds - just rooms with one king or one quessn so that won't work for us - but that is a great price!

My rooms have 2 beds? If you need two beds lets talk. I also have 2 rooms total so if you need more than one room lets do it!
was watching a video of MMJ doing "Dondante" and I blacked out. When I gained consciousness, my screen was on my confirmation e-mail for Jazzfest tickets. PUMPED! See you fine folks there!
Ugh, I think there's going to be a major conflict here. S&G is scheduled to close out Acura on Saturday. I have a feeling MMJ will be closing out Gentilly at the same time.
I'll probably regret missing S&G forever, but I guess sometimes you gotta regret stuff forever, right? it's funny but becoming an easier decision the deeper i get into The Tennessee Fire
