Among Allman Brothers and Jeff Beck, two of the names spotted before the article was taken down?
MY MORNING JACKET and PEARL JAM and THE BLACK CROWES
Where's the emoticon for running around and freaking out like a toddler hopped up on Hawaiian Punch?!? ;D

Wow! i cant tell which weekend is better. what do we have to do to get Steve Martin with the Steep Canyon Rangers? that would just be awesome to see in my opinion. wow. the list is pretty awesome. two different weekends also? what is the word i am looking for? awesome. Wow. Jealous?
^^ I was just trying to decide which one was better. I think Weekend Two nudges out the first I guess we will have to wait for the TBA (and pray it's not Bon Jovi.)
wow. i want to go. now to decide which weekend to go. first weekend is better at the top. second weekend has pearl jam and is deeper overall. i'm thinking second weekend wins. never been to any fest other than roo before. we were trying to decide which one to go to and i wasn't even considering this one. but now it's immediately at the top. how early would i need to buy tickets/book hotel for this? could we wait a while and be ok?
Given that I am MOVING to New Orleans in January, I think it's safe to say I will be attending BOTH weekends of Jazz Fest, and LOVING every second of it!!
"We're no longer called Sonic Death Monkey. We're on the verge of becoming Kathleen Turner Overdrive, but just for tonight, we are Barry Jive and his Uptown Five. "

I wouldn't wait too long on air/hotel. I just booked and prices were already up there. My suggestion is to go to www.nojazzfest.com and see what hotel packages are still available, then go to Hotwire or Priceline to see what kind of deal you can grab. Also, there's a guy over on PT who has two extra rooms downtown for only $119 a night. Also, feel free to PM me if you have any questions at all!
Second weekend will be nuts, for sure. I don't even want to imagine what the Acura Stage is going to look like with Pearl Jam there. Y-i-k-e-s.
