The gulf side equivalent of Coachella? That would be pretty cool.
Kinda - I guess
except:
no onsite camping much much cheaper warmer water prettier sand
Please tell me this is supposed to be some kind joke. Obviously it's much cheaper, take a glance at the lineups. Warmer water?!?!?! Take a look at where Indio, CA is on a map. It's hundreds of miles inland. THERE IS NO WATER AT COACHELLA. There's no sand either, it's on fucking polo fields. It's grass. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of things I don't like about Coachella but you failed so massively here. I know you were just talking about the sand (which doesn't exist at coach) but nothing about the gulf shores is prettier than coachella valley. I could go dig up plenty of beautiful pictures of coachella but it's not worth the time because it's common knowledge that (besides maybe Sasquatch) it has the most amazing scenary of any festivals in the country, possibly world.
So your argument is... what? If Coachella doesn't have any water at all then it stands to reason (in a roundabout way) that the water at Gulf Shores is going to be warmer right? Warmer than no water at all!
If Coachella doesn't have sand, then why does it matter how beautiful the surroundings are? There's no beach! The beach and the water are a couple of the biggest draws for me, maybe that is what Meg was getting at eh?

Good lord.
I didn't make any arguments. I was clearly just pointing out everything wrong in that post.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder - me personally - I find that the beach beats out just about anything else I could find - California is fine if you live there - but I don't - I live 5 hours from Gulf Shores.
Beyond that - I don't like the line up of Coachella - I would never pay the price that Coachella charges to camp on a polo field in what I can only assume would be crowded conditions (I say assume because I have never been and likely never will go)
Now - is there a reason that you feel the need to post in a thread about The Hangout Festival if you are so in love with Coachella or did you just come here to troll around and try and start arguments and be a drama llama?
Different people go to different festivals for different reasons. What is attractive to you may not be attractive to me. We all have our opinions. I'm kinda glad that the whole world doesn't think the same way.
It means that the beach I love doesn't get overrun by a**holes that don't appreciate it's beauty.

I just said that there's plenty of things I don't like about coachella so I'm obviously not so in love with it.
The reason I called you out on that post is because it was ignorant and misleading (this is INFOroo after all.) It would be advisable to at least find out the general geographic region a festival is in when you're comparing and contrasting it to another one. A polo field in a desert valley is entirely different from a california beach, or any beach.

i don't think one post on a thread about another festival is going to be the demise of coachella, or keep anyone who loves the lineup from going. we get it...you think she's wrong. no need to continue a pointless argument.
And yes...a Polo Field is a Polo Field whether it is in the desert in Cali or in the county in Alabama (yeah, we have them here too and they are just as lush and green and gorgeous as in the Cali desert WITH horses and players and teams and ladies with hats and tea and all that stuff ) And a beach...is a beach...on the Pacific, Atlantic or Gulf...though it IS proven that the Gulf Coast IS warmer than eithet the Pacific OR Atlantic...and the Gulf IS the only one with the White Sugar Sand....oh...but you'd have to KNOW something about the geographic nature of the Gulf Coast to actually KNOW that... But I'm sure you all already knew that now didntcha? ;D

Are you really this big of a moron or are you just playing one on the internet? Yes, I knew that the Gulf of Mexico has warmer water and much nicer, whiter sand. I've been to both the gulf and the west coast several times, but WHAT IN THE FLYING FUCK DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH THIS CONVERSATION?!?!?!?!?!
THERE'S NO SAND OR WATER AT COACHELLA!!! MEG SAID THERE IS. SHE WAS WRONG. THAT WAS FALSE INFORMATION.
Is that really so hard to admit? I honestly wish you guys weren't really this stupid but sadly ...

I'm just trying to liven this place up. It's so dull around here. Take canexplain for example. We get to know him and tons of hilarity ensues. Here he's just another poster. Try to expand your message board horizons people.
