i'm thinking of sectioning off a small portion of the beach during the hangout for a nudes only sunbathing/music listening colony for the weekend! With a sign reading SUNGLASSES ONLY BEYOND THIS POINT!
Picture it, then realize how many minutes...perhaps seconds..... it would last, before some hulky security guard pummeled me and my nude friends(who am i kidding, it would prob just me). Hell, it prob. wouldnt even be a security guard, but rather some hulking redneck itching to open a can of whoopass, alabammy style!
Perhaps they would find a tube sock more agreeable....thats right just one...and plenty of sunscreen! Safety First Kids.
Thoughts..? Possible Participants...? Notable Nude Festival/Music/Beach Moments from your past....?
I was looking at going to roo this year until this Fest came on the scene.
I bought my tickets a few days ago and just reserved a hotel a half mile from the event. Reserved at Phoenix All Suites West. We're staying a few extra days after event so the hotel was a bit more than I wanted to spend ($850 for 5 nights stay).
I'm excited about the lineup.. mainly seeing the Lips on the Beach!!! The wife is looking forward to seeing Keller.

I doubt there will be any more adds. They've sent out the promo already. If they add anyone, it's def not going to be any of the above names.
nutbag, I'd have to be pretty intoxicated to hang with you nude on a beach. But I'm not ruling out that possibility......well........maybe I am ruling out that possibility. Hallucinogenics tend to make me want to strip sometimes. And, no, I am not the naked wizard from Coachella.

im down nutbag, ive lived by the mantra you gotta go BALLS OUT or dont go at all, that codes only gotta me arrested thrice. so all i gotta say to the rest of yall is....... C'MON........ seriously C'MON, whats the worst that could happen get arrested and miss the lips on the beach, oh dam that would suck, sorry nutbag cant risk it, your on your own
I haven't ever listened to much of their stuff but last night I was checking out some online and they're actually pretty good. I've seen a lot of bands that I enjoyed their recorded music but their live shows just fell flat and vice versa. Just curious how their live show is.

@ scuttlebutts........."Balls Out" will get you a sun burn @ the Hanguot!
I'm rethinking my earlier plan/idea..... The possibility of missing any sets is far too scary... Plus.... The last Flips set i saw, they encouraged everyone to get naked, they had naked chicks on stage, and before i had the chance to contemplate Wayne's plea for nudity, i looked over, and the dude RIGHT next to me was bareass naked..."Balls Out" if you will! Sooooo, the way i see it, we may get our chance just yet....with the encouragement of a headliner no less......woooohooooo!
Really, speaking from the experience of the guy Chico and I stood behind at Radiohead at Lolly 2008...be careful how much you wish to see of your fellow festie goers.... A little goes a LOOOONG way in some cases....long live HARRIS and that infamous penny! LMFAO!!!!

I've seen them twice, once in Chicago and once in Denver. Both times they had great sets and really got the audience involved.
I think all of the shows are going to have a really different feel because of the location.
Anyone concerned about sound quality so close to the water?

this sounds like a story that I would love to hear more in depth. You'll have to tell us at our Inforoo Hangout Party.

I haven't thought about that, but now it has me alittle worried. I'm pretty anal about sound quality at shows. I have always avoided the Which stage at Roo. I think the stages will be set up perpendicular to the beach. Not sure what that means for SQ tho.

Haahaa! Yeah...I'll even bring pix...too funny...we were laughing about that on the way back from jackson, one of the funniest festie moments ever!

Agreed. It makes me wonder about the sound reflective qualities of water vs sand vs ground. But I don't want to nerd-out on the boards here.
I think I can put up with a less than stellar sound quality solely because i'll be on a beach!
