OK - After Trey on Sunday night as our merry little group was disbanding and we were picking up the sheet and towels that we were sitting on - I ended up with someone's black hoodie. Nevermind - I found it's home. I should have known before I posted this and just asked Bamabelle.
Somhow - no matter what festival I go to, I always end up with some piece of clothing of hers.

Wow! I was having internet problems while this was going on and just got around to reading all the during and post-fest posts. I knew Michael would manage to put on a great fest and if the beaches survive, I'm definitely gonna try to get over there for the 2nd Annual Hangout Music Fest next year.
I also liked hearing all the post festival talk and if it weren't for those pesky weddings I would've been there. Just a quick question, looks like most stayed in condos...did anyone stay at the state park that was near the festival site, how was it and would you hit it up again.

Good news, but...
"Mayor Robert Craft said that besides ensuring proper measures are made by organizers to uphold certain standards of security and sanitation, they must also ensure “that the theme of the production is consistent with the family-oriented nature of Gulf Shores public beaches.”
Craft said City Hall isn’t going to be in the business of screening the lineup each spring, but it’s been made clear to organizers that the city doesn’t want any artists that use excessive profanity or draw unusually rowdy crowds."
Kinda unsettling. Ben Harper's "Fuck BP" chant was quite a notable moment this year.
I shall be attending...I hope. If all goes well and I save starting today (just made 100 bucks so I'm feeling good) I'll go on a month long trip. Hangout, Summercamp, Waka, Roo

Looks like it's time to start calling any locals that you know. The Hangout just announced that they'll be selling 3 day passes for 50 bucks the day after Thanksgiving. The story is on Fox10tv.com. Sorry, I'd post a link but I'm writing this on my phone

We stayed in the state park and it was nice. You could hear the waves from our campsite and see the condos on the beach. It was pretty quiet. The only negative were the huge/evil ants that were all over. Once the shuttle situation was all figured out, it had a pick up/drop off right at the visitor center.
We loved the fest and will be back next year. It will be my birthday weekend!
I'll bump this. Is anyone here on the boards a local to the Gulf Shores area? I have a friend that lives there, but alas, she will be in TN on Black Friday.
