I'd love to go back to The Hangout this year - but we promised the teenager a trip to Bonnaroo for graduation and we just can't pull off both fests.
Truthfully - as much as I love Bonnaroo - if I had to choose - I'd pick The Hangout - I love the beach, our condo was an easy walk, it was nice to have A/C, a shower and a real bed to sleep in each night - plus the pool was an added bonus
Im actually thinking of hitting this up instead of Coachella this year...I didnt hit the beach all last year and this would kill 2 birds with one stone. How expensive are we talking for condos?

I was thinking this could be an alternative if Roo wasnt what I'm looking for this year but now I cant go due to a wedding, so Meg. I'll see you at Roo.

I think someone should start a new thread for 2011 because I'm too lazy to remember the page number that starts this year's info. It's entirely possible that I will make it this year. Lots O Time on my hands.
Anyone who went last year....how kid friendly is Hangout? Keep in mind I dont find Bonnaroo to be kid friendly. And before someone jumps down my throat, people that bring their kids to Bonnaroo are fine with me I prefer to not bring mine at the age of 8
The Hangout is very friendly. We took our 7 & 4 year old boys last year and they loved it. There is a kid area by the Hangout restraunt. The crowd is pretty laid back. There is plenty of space for the kids to play on the beach. I thought it was a great environment for everyone to enjoy some great live music. Keep in mind that I would never take my kids to Bonnaroo. Roo is too crowded and much more of an adult venue.

Sweet thats what I was looking for thanks! Might have the "mini-me" in tow if I can find a few more friends to hit this up with me

Phunkyzen is dead on. We took our 4 and 2 year old boys last year, and they LOVED it. It was pretty hot for them early in the day, but we kept the CapriSun flowing and it was all good. After about 5:00 or so, the breeze coming out of the gulf knocked out the heat.

Here we are in the sand:
Awesome...the worst part about festivals is not getting to share them with her. This seems like the perfect festival to break her in with.

Click here: hangoutmusicfest.com/?p=1 and then click through the artists. I think they're just testing stuff out. But, there might be some jewels and actual bands in there.
