Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Also interested in early bird tickets and if anyone happens to have a yard or beach or floor nearby that I could camp on for the duration of the festival that'd be cool too
Otherwise looking to probably rent a condo if anyone is interested in throwing in on one nearby. So far I've only got one other person with me.
Im most likely going to be going to this, just gotta talk a few friends into heading down with me which shouldnt be too hard. I look at this as a vacation on the beach with some awsome music added in as a bonus, should be a good time.

Here's what I found from artist websites. Though I have found that, in the past, bands that list the first day of the fest on their tour schedule initially don't always end up playing that day. Anyway...
Friday: Trey Alison Krauss Black Crowes NMAS duo
Saturday: Flaming Lips Keller Toubab Krewe
Sunday: Ben Harper A.L.O OK Go
Sat or Sun (they have shows scheduled elsewhere friday): Ozomatli Black Joe Lewis
this festival sounds like SO much fun - a great lineup and on the beach too!
I wish I could go
NO ONE has mentioned the FLORABAMA - it's pretty near, isn't it? you out-of-towners def need to check it out.
when is the Mullet toss btw?
Usually the last full weekend of April...what would that be this year? The 23-25 this year I think. Will probably draw more people than the Hangout Festie! LOL!
I love looking at all the posts we had in this thread before when we had our doubts.. they sure shut us up, haha
Yeah, I know Michael A and have worked for him at several fests and was pretty sure things would be worked out. If he can't do it, I don't know who could. I really wish this wasn't the same weekend as my local fest. There's still a chance I might make this anyway.

fyi, when i picked up my early bird tickets (4 of them), the guy at Blue Angel Music said they only had 15 left, and that was on Thurs. So ther prob arent many more left to buy. But 159$, or whatever they're chargin aint bad tho.......but im def lookin into gettin a hotel now....i figure the good nights rest is well worth it.

Everybody should come and help make this an annual thing on the gulf coast. It's an awesome venue and it looks like (initially) the group putting it together brings in top bands that rival the roo....just sayin

In case you missed it earlier in this thread, here's the fest producer's LinkedIn page. He's involved in a lot of major fests:
fahk it. for those that dwell in the snow and cant wait til summer for Roo -- this gulf coast beach festival might as well be in jamaica. two thumbs up. Im so in i can't even pretend to find the way out

I can tell you for a fact that Blue Angel has no more - a friend of mine got the last 4 from him
I got two from Serda's yesterday and they only had 6 left after I got 2
OK - I have a WTF? I was just reading the FAQ's on the Hangout Music Fest website and it says that you cannot bring aerosol cans in - including aerosol sunscreen - that just bites - the sunscreen I use and always take to 'roo that I have NEVER burned with is aerosol - I wonder what the reasoning for that one is?
That's really strange? That's my preferred sunscreen as well. I just looked around on google and I can't find anything dangerous about them anywhere. Maybe email them for their reasoning, I would want to know why.
They can be inhaled, used as blowtorches (handy to have when those idiots behind you just won't shut up), thrown into fires and exploded, used to beat people in the head with, etc.

well I know all of that BUT - you would think that if a festy as big as Bonnaroo doesn't ban them - why would Hangout, huh?

Remember in the movie Jaws when they threw that scuba tank into the shark's mouth, then shot it and blew the shark up? Who knows, maybe some "altered" Hangouter might decide to try to recreate that scene on the beach with a dolphin or sumthin. ;D

just recieved an email from someone @ the hangout and he claimed that they will be providing a shuttle to and from the campsites at gulf state park, and then gave me the link to the site...which is posted on the event site itself.
