The conspiracy theories are hilarious. If Adam Silver wanted the Knicks to win, the years of mediocrity we had at the start of his tenure were a weird way to get started.

The simpler explanation is that NBA refs are not great at their jobs and that there are some dumb rules like the kick thing not being reviewable.
