So they must be moving on from OG, right? Feel like I might rather have OG, but Mikal's deal is locked in for two years, so I guess that's the thinking. And they'll probably be able to keep Ike now.
what I’ve seen is that OG is still top priority, but they might have to give up on ihart and trade Robinson. Did they keep either of their firsts this year? Could draft a Da’Ron Holmes and hope for the best with him and a minimum salary center
LOL. I can't put together a trade with y'all so it would have to be another team or two involved if we're moving BI (which I think we have to now). It would have been nice to have drafted Maxey over Kira Lewis back in 2020, but you win some and lose some. We are linked to Nic Claxton and Trae Young. Neither of those would come cheap, but Ingram should net us substantial assets. I almost rather we would have gone down a path with him over Zion due to Zion's injury history, but I don't know that you can close off a championship contender without Zion since that's who the team was built for but which was repeatedly derailed by health issues.
as a point of reference to the above, look at what the optimistic scenarios fans of teams like the Nuggets are cooking up for their team and how hollow the benches of these 2nd apron teams become:
we're fucked by the second apron if we're able to resign kcp, but the scenario Blackburn posted there would be insanely good for us I think.
yeah thats why I think this is all better for the knicks than most. they are gonna have a core of seven guys (I think) under the 2nd apron that they can extend and hold onto as long as they are willing to pay the taxes. it is pretty similar to the Boston model with Tatum/Brown/KP/Jrue/White. Obvi the Boston core is way better but it is what it is, they made three or four insanely good trades
well tb\f Ingram isn't exactly an iron man himself. hasn't played more than 65 games since his rookie year.
He's been hurt a bunch too (the whole fucking team which is why it failed). But he's been there a lot more than he hasn't. Zion is going into year #6 having played 184 games and no playoff games ever. That's an average of 36 a year though he did play like 71 or 72 last year and missed an entire season and most of another one. I'm pretty sure Ingram has played over 100 more games that Zion has during that span (99% sure we got both players in 2019).

youre gonna get Paul Reed, the 16th pick and 2 future firsts and be happy.

All I really care about for this years draft tbh is my hope that a small market team like Utah or OKC picks up Bronny first round and how funny NBA twitter is gonna be about it
my only draft hope is bronny doesn't get drafted. no shade on the guy but at this point it would be the funniest thing to me.
*im sure RP already has a statement drafted about how not getting drafted is a positive because now he controls his destiny etc, but if he was an actual NBA prospect he'd get drafted.

No I agree, it would be really funny, but also no way this is gonna happen.
I mean at what point as a GM would you rather have a good rookie or would you rather have a shitty rookie + 49 year old lebron or you can trade Bronny for something way way better

I just don't think he's going to have any trade value, or at that point why wouldn't he go higher?
Also a fan of what Minny did, as well as.. the Washington Wizards?? That can’t be right. Wish Dallas had a pick before the end of the draft, and pretty sure we’re gonna trade away our 2025 first on Friday after the draft wraps up
Here's what I think the Harden trade haul stands at as of now:
Tari Eason Cam Whitmore (E-God was traded*) Reed Sheppard? 2025 swap PHX 2027 pick PHX 2027 swap BKN PHX/DAL/HOU 2029 (top two of three) PHX/DAL/HOU 2029 (top two of three)
Would you want the Rockets to draft Sheppard over Dillingham?
Yeah. He's bigger and he's a better shooter. Handle not what Rob's is but still good. Also love the stocks with Reed.
Kinda bummed the Spurs traded Rob. He would have been a lot of fun with Wemby and it would have cool seeing him and Reed play against each other four times a year in the division. My Spurs friend was pretty sad about it, too.

Minny traded a pick and a swap to get into this draft which is supposed to be the weakest in a long time so idk. Rob could be good for them but I'm a little surprised a team was willing to give up future assets to get to 8th in a weak class. They're in their window right now, though.
