He's not the best shooter but he's alright. Like Castle had a pretty awful shooting year (27% from three) but he's considered to be ok because he'll eventually develop to have the three-point percentage that Collier had last year (~33%). And Collier sees the court well. All players in this draft have their flaws so 29 just seems really low.

I would have been wary of Castle too, but he's at least a really good defender already and a better free throw shooter. Definitely think he's worth a swing that late I just don't think he'll be good lol

Could be an interesting reclamation project. He slipped in the 2022 draft as well. Guess they still like him better than what they figure will be left at #44. I remember him being on my radar alongside Tari in that range.

I followed him his senior year of high school because Cincinnati was recruiting him hard, I’m really high on him and just think USC was a mess last year. I think his floor is backup PG that mostly facilitates, sky is the limit depending on how his 3pt shot develops.

people think Collier's work ethic sucks
Ohh where did you hear that? Would like to listen.
tim connelly said fuck them kids. Rob dillingham looks like a straight bucket and super athletic seems to be a perfect pick and will get some mentorship from mike conley

Nate Duncan's pod with Johnathan Givony
Thanks, just listened to this podcast. For anyone else curious the Collier talk is around 54:25 and they question his shooting much more strongly than his work ethic, which is barely hinted at if at all IMO.
Yeah the ESPN graphic absolutely showed it as an exchange of Reggie for three SRPs lol what are they doing over there.
woj got it wrong and edited but it makes no sense cause i don't think we even have 3 SRPs to trade lol. hoping it's part of a deal we end up with Micic.

they’re dumping him and probably Zeke Nnaji to be more competitive in KCP’s free agency. They can find vet min guys who are better than Reggie or Nnaji
