I will be stunned if duke doesn't win by 15....butler has played some good teams but duke is dominating squads in this tournament. The winner tonight should have to play the UCONN women to see if they could actually beat that collection of behemoths!
I was at the Duke/Butler game last night. Great game but Duke did get a lot of the calls their way, I didn't expect any thing less. CBS and the NCAA have their lips so far up Duke's ass it's sicking.
2/5- Papadosio 3/3- MUSE 3/12- John Mayer 3/19- The Werks 3/31- Passion Pit 4/18- Ben Folds 4/20- Against Me! 6/10- Bonnaroo 6/30- Eric Clapton and Roger Daltrey

Because they didn't resign him? Because he's just tickling their balls to get more money now? Do you just think DJ is a shitty ball player? Should the Clippers be destined for failure? Explain yourself.

He agreed to sign with the Mavericks like a week ago. Then apparently got cold feet yesterday and called Doc Rivers so like half the Clippers team and Doc flew to Houston to meet with him behind his agents back. Now its assumed he'll sign with the Clippers at midnight, but they dont trust him so half the clippers team is literally staying in his house till he signs. Mark Cuban and Chandler Parsons from the Mavs went to meet with him as well tonight but he is refusing to meet with them and even ignoring their calls cause he's too much of a bitch to even say he changed his mind. Honestly its hilarious from a neutral point of view, but DJ and the Clippers still look like scumbags.
EDIT: Dallas also pretty much lost out on the opportunity to sign any other free agents because they had the agreement with Deandre and everyone has already signed pretty much, so Dirk is fucked for his last few seasons before he retires
Basically as a Nuggets and Mavericks fan it's time to embrace the tank! Hopefully one of them gets that first pick and Ben Simmons. Sucks Dirks probably played his last playoff game, 2011 Dirk is GOAT play off performance Ive ever seen
Apparently my TV gets way more channels than I realized, mostly because I keep forgetting I own a TV. I have today and tomorrow off, hopefully this means I can watch some preseason games.

Are you a Timberwolves fan?
I didn't grow up here, so I don't have much a connection with the team, but living here for a little over four years has made me hopeful. I'm not delusional in my hope. I think they have a lot of potential, but the team is just so damn young. I'm hanging out in the "Man it would be great if this was the year of true progress, but if they're still the shittiest team in the nba, I won't be that disappointed" camp. I don't really have a team, which makes me more of a casual "fan," I just fucking love basketball. I'm damn curious to see how Towns holds up in the first few games, though.
That said, for whatever reason, whenever the Bulls or the Clippers are playing, I root for them. I tend to be more interested in individual players than whole teams. That's slowly changing as I learn about new players I've never heard of and as my personal research continues and grows.

Word. Timberwolves have definitely got a pretty good core group of young players to grow with, but I understand your cautious hopefulness. I'm about in the same boat with the Nuggets but we're probably even worse right now haha

I think they're all really talented, but I agree, there's still plenty of room to grow. They really just need to learn how to play as a team and what they're style is. I mean, they're not the fucking Grizzlies, but they'll get a set style someday. I don't think the Nuggets are nearly as bad as the Wolves. Did you guys lose key players in the offseason?
And it's not like I said the Lakers. I don't know, watching Chris Paul, DJ and Griffin together is too entertaining. Plus they got rid of Matt Barnes - who's style of basketball just pisses me off for some reason - and gained Paul Pierce. Also Welsey Johnson has a lot of potential. I'm sorry they beat the Nuggets in Friday.

Well we lost Ty Lawson (which I'm happy about) who was probably our best player the past couple years. Hopefully Gallinari can finally stay injury free so we can see how good he can be. Besides him Faried and Wilson Chandler were mostly a bunch of first and second year players with potential though.
And yeah I honestly hate the Clippers more than the Lakers at this point. Like fuck Kobe but they suck so there's no point in even hating them. Chris Paul and Blake Griffen flop more than any other players in basketball, which makes me hate them even more cause they're both good as fuck and don't need to do that shit. Deandre Jordan I'm convinced has the maturity of a 12 year old and after his whole off season fiasco I sincerely despise him and the entire Clippers organization. That got a bit drawn out, but god I just fucking hate the fucking Clippers hahaha.

I'll absolutely agree that DeAndre is a big ol' baby. I'll also add that he isn't necessarily even that talented of a ball player. I mean sure, the man can dunk over dudes all damn day, but his range from the field is nonsense, I can shoot the basketball better than he can. See: Last season's hack-a-whoever. I'd honestly be curious to see what his field goal percentage would be if it didn't include the myriad of dunks he's made in his pro-career. I get where you're coming from otherwise, though, I really just enjoy Chris Paul as a point guard. When he's good, he's great, but sort of like you said, when he's off, it's embarrassing.
More to the point, regular season ball starts tonight!!
