I still have never understood the continued distaste people have for LeBron.
It can't be just because he said "I'm going to take my talents to South Beach." People can't honestly still hold that over his head. That was six years ago. He said it during a televised broadcast in which he raised $6 million for the Boys and Girls Club and other charities. Well, why did he have to go on tv to announce it? Isn't that egotistical? ESPN and other outlets had been hyping his decision for months! It was already a spectacle. And so he took the opportunity to make money for charity. And you hold that against him?!?
He is providing scholarships to 1,100 students to the University of Akron through his organization The Lebron Family Foundation. 1,100 students!
He has never been involved in any major scandals. He didn't punch teammates, have a gambling problem, or act like a total asshole like Michael Jordan. He didn't (allegedly) rape a woman like Kobe. He has never had drug or drinking problems. He married his high school sweetheart and mother of his children.
In his 13 years in the NBA, he brought his team to the playoffs in the past 11 straight. That includes bringing his team to the NBA Finals for the past five straight years.
He is a total player, excelling in points, assists, rebounds, and on defense.
Yet the guy continues to be hated on by sports fans. Granted, in a poll from 2015 he was rated as the most liked athlete in America, but he was also rated as the most disliked in that same poll.
People hate consistent winners. If the Warriors keep up this winning tradition, in a year or two people will be sick of Steph Curry. Hell, I'm sick of Steph Curry (but respect his skills)
Fair enough. I am also already sick of Steph Curry haha

LOL, baby Steph just threw his binky. If he hit a fan with it he should be suspended for game 7. If Ron Artest, Matt Barnes, or J.R. Smith threw something into the crowd in anger and in dissent of a call they'd be suspended for a game, wouldn't they? Not sure if he got ejected for whining or if it was just a tech after his 6th foul. Either is unbecoming of a unanimous MVP.
Folks, we have a seventh game. You've gotta like that if you like the NBA.
EDIT: Klay Thompson went to the locker room before the final whistle. Will he catch as much flack as LeBron did for not shaking hands after the Cavs' final loss in 2010? Yeah, right. LeBron was a poor sport and puppy kicker, but Klay was just upset, so for him it's okay.

LeBron could convince Trump to drop out of the election while simultaneously saving babies from a burning nursery, and people would still say "yeah, but I just didn't appreciate that he ditched Cleveland like that to go to Miami..."
The NBA is rigged to prolong the series by having refs use often unnecessary and bullshit foul calls to put players in foul trouble and force them to be subbed out or play more conservative defense, and by killing people's momentum on big runs with prolonged reviews, fouls, etc.

Cavs will win sunday.
Man, I hope you're right about game 7. But I tend not to give much thought to conspiracy theories, because a lot of them are much more easily explained by human mistakes and outright incompetence. NBA officials just aren't very good at their jobs, as evidenced by the entire playoffs, if not the whole season. I complain plenty about bad calls that go against the Cavs, but I'll admit that they are just lousy refs and calling NBA games is hard. I don't think they're fixing games even though a finals game 7 is obviously good for the league - ratings are gonna be huge.
I have a shift tomorrow night that I'm seriously considering asking off so that I can watch this game. Guaranteed easy money and I can sort of stream the game on the computer at my very public desk or get kinda drunk and freak out at a TV with some strangers?

get drunk at your public desk while streaming the game.
People are complaining this is the worst seven game series they've ever seen because none of the games have been close. I disagree, though, because the level of play from these teams has been out of this world. As a LeBron/Cavs fan, these past two games have been so so much fun to watch. Just total highlight reels. If they lose tomorrow, Bron and Uncle Drew are still leaving with mad respect from some haters.
Sixers took Ben Simmons #1, Lakers took Brandon Ingram #2, Celtics had a bad draft, Thunder trade Ibaka to the Magic for Oladipo, Ilyasova, and #11 pick Domantas Sabonis, and tons of International players were drafted (tied NBA record with 8 taken in the 1st Round).
edit: and my Mavs took possibly one of the top steals of the draft, AJ Hammons, center from Purdue who's one of the top overall defensive players from the Big 10, at #46. The guy had lottery level talent but fell due to a low motor and character concerns, two bad attributes that can easily be fixed under Carlisle's system.
I find it completely ridiculous that the league's superstars have stacked themselves on a handful of teams, and the other 22-24 basically have to get lucky in the draft.
