Clue #1: The one monkey that was the warmest and his offspring
What about Blur? The one monkey that was the warmest could mean a guess at a possible headliner(Gorillaz). I.E Damon Albarn. His offspring could mean his other band Blur. Just an idea.
I haven't read the whole board on the clue 1, but as lame or fun for some it might be could it be Dave Matthews and Friends. Warmest Monkey="Davey" Jones and the offspring is all the frineds hes has. Maybe thats lame and im not super thrilled myself but they have been rumored and it kinda fits. Sorry if someone already posted that.

I believe Blur was suggested earlier. I think Blur reunited and was supposed to make a new album, but the've broken up already. I believe there was an article where Murdoc said they got back together and broke up in the time it takes him to re-string his bass. Although, I would like to see Blur.
Just for clarification the whole message is "Djjd Farmhound is back. The one monkey that was the warmest and his offspring"
I was thinking Rosanne Cash because she is the offspring of the man in black who was known to wear a black duster making him the warmest but I couldnt connect the monkey part?

What about just like a son or daughter of someone? Norah Jones, Jakob Dylan, etc. And the monkey is some ridiculously obscure reference that is nearly impossible to get. Like"
"Yeah well that was a reference to this guy who lived down the street from Bob Dylan who worked at the Zoo and one day brought a monkey home with him so that he could have sex with it. Get it? Offspring. Monkey. How much easier could that be?"
That's exactly what these clues are. Just mindless dribble* to stir up speculation.

how about karen o and the kids...
they did the soundtrack to where the wild things are. monkeys are wild. i have no idea what those beasts were in that movie, but wild animals could easily be replaced with the word monkey. seems like the kinda thing dj jd would do.
come to think of it, that little boy (main character in the movie) wore some kind of monkey costume.
another thought: the clue states "his offspring". could be another thing dj jd used to throw us off.
yeah...i'm going with this answer...
or maybe they're just gonna show the movie in the cinema tent...but i'm hoping for both the movie and the band
maybe someone with kid or child or something like that in their name
Yeah, I think this is very possible. I was thinking along those lines earlier and never came up with anything that fit, but that's sort of what I would have expected of this clue - a bit of wordplay leading to the name of the band/artist rather than a literal description of the act. We've played around with all kinds of musicians' children or family acts, and it could be something like that, but something less literal was definitely my first interpretation of the clue.
Edit: Oh, and I agree that tomorrow will probably be a big day. I'm thinking clue #2 will be along tomorrow, and I'm also thinking DJ JD might be tweeting.
I think the "his offspring" part of the clue suggests that whomever this warmest monkey may be is a male. I'd think the clue requires enough brainpower as-is, without totally flipping a gender around on us to boot.
We are all on the same page that the monkey is male at least, right?

I think the kid was a wolf, not a monkey. ;] But I'd love if this were the answer to the clue.

*Yes, that is a Bisco reference
If we are talking about having sex with monkeys i think we can pencil in dave chappelle
Here's a fun interpretation that I'm sure will peak the interest of some of you guys.
The warmest monkey is Mark E. Smith, who is apparently on the new Gorillaz album. His "off spring" is The Fall. Autumn is "off spring" and the Fall are Smith's life long project that has featured rotating members for decades.
The part that doesn't work for me is why he's the warmest. Oh and the unlikelihood that Bonnaroo would book them.
I am trying to find the connection between Ringo Starr appearing and his offspring son Zak Starkey who is currently the drummer for The WHO.
Any thoughts on this
My thought is that I will keep repeating my constant refrain that Ringo will not be at Bonnaroo.
Still hoping for Zak though! But I doubt this clue has anything to do with that even if the Who are there...I'd be flabbergasted if the first clue was for a headliner, and the clue doesn't really fit anyway.
First thought: Pixies' Monkey gone to heaven lyric: "The the devil is six" since that would be the "warmest" monkey. So then something to do with the devil or maybe the number six? Devil's offspring...sinners, idle hands?
I'm 12 pages late on replying but this is the EXACT thing that came to my mind! I actually posted this on another thread, but you definitely beat me to it.
I fail to see where "his offspring" works in when you look at that as a Pixies angle. Plus, that monkey goes to heaven and not the other, warmer place.
