Clue #1: The one monkey that was the warmest and his offspring
DJ JD Post: I will have to investigate the B'roo twitter myself- not sure what they are up to. I'll bribe them tomorrow with green tea before they are awake and conscious- then tame their monkey mind!
DJ JD Tweet: Didn't read all 17 pages yet- but PP seems to closest.
DJ JD Post: but for now, the second soldier is lined up in the plane and getting ready to be pushed out.... I see at least 8 soldiers behind him.
DJ JD Tweet: Kloos are lining up like little soldiers in the airplane going over Normandy the night before D-Day. click clickclick
DJ JD Tweet: Jay Z is DEFINITELY on the wrong track on the 1st clue to Clarksville.
DJ JD Tweet: Soldiers lined up and ready to jump- some are dummy poppen, but most are real. CLICK click click
Trying to recall everythingg..
The ones that are about D-Day and dummies seem to me to mean that some of the clues from Bonnaroo were real and some were false. We just need to sort out the truth. Maybe Furthur from Bonnaroo's clues was right.
Interestingly, we cover "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson. The "CLICK click click", and "click clickclick" are very similar to the bass rhythm in that song....

if the first clue was about monkeys..... and then he says Jay Z is DEFINITELY on the wrong track on the 1st clue to Clarksville..... last train to claksville was a monkees song...... was he just using that to allude back to the first clue? or should we be interpreting that more literally when it comes to the monkees?

I like where you're head's at--it also applies to her song, "Die Alone" (WHICH, by the way, mentions "falling, falling"--soldiers, maybe?)
But I think that's too much of a stretch--the clicks could apply with a billion songs. I like the train tracks theory a little better.

The way you have them listed, they match up to the Bonnaroo tweets; Big CLICK for the la-la-la-lies tweet. Little clicks for the further, big pimpin and bigger bang tweets, and 2 connected little clicks for the coachella or bonnaroo choice tweet.
This really doesn't solve anything but I figured I'd post something preposterous....
You all are referring to Ingrid Michaelson "The Way I Am"
I went to youtube to observe this music video here:
Then one of the clues says CLICK click click... Well the FIRST related video on the right is Ringo Starr's video for Liverpool 8. Hence the "first" CLICK.
EDIT: The end of "Liverpool 8" has the lyrics "LA LA LA LIVERPOOL"

I'm an idiot
Yikes! Some mighty fine detective work there...
I was on the Ringo kick a few pages back (he has a song Monkey See Monkey Do with the words "Would I LIE to you"), but was persuaded by the MICHAEL+SON logic.
Some huge coincidences floating around the ether...

I think the Ingrid Michaelson guess is spot on. Earlier someone posted this : "Could it possibly just be as simple as Mike Nesmith and his son Christian?" and DJJD responded that it couldn't be that simple but the poster was on the right track. Hawking's logic to get to Ingrid Michaelson is exactly on that track, yet not quite so simple as just putting Michael Nesmith and his own son as the answer.
I don't think Radio Roo is live, so the fact that they are still playing the clue doesn't necessarily mean it hasn't been solved.
Nice work, hawking-even if it turns out not to be correct, it sure fits well.

OKAY, got my internet back up and running! I see you guys have been busy...
I like the Ingrid Michaelson thought. I've been going over and over things in my head trying to think of any band name that involved the names Michael, Micky, Peter, or Davy and didn't come up with anything. (Well, apart from Peter and the Wolf and one awful moment when my brain provided Peter Bjorn and John! ;D)
Anyway, I've been trying to think of bands with no luck, and the name "Michaelson" never even occurred to me. I think that's totally possible!
Come up with a few other possible trains of thought to investigate, so I'm going to look into things now. For now, it occurred to me that when we were thinking about Monkees' children I never looked into Peter Tork, partly because I couldn't come up with a good way to make him the warmest, but I checked just now and he's got a daughter named Hallie Luia. And some kids with less interesting names, but Hallie Luia made me laugh so I thought I'd share.
I'll get to work on updating the site as soon as I can.
The Monkees didn't write their own songs (not many, anyway). Maybe clue #1 is bogus. DjjD's tweet for clue #2 has him pushing, pushing as if giving birth.
Just in case clue #1 is a genuine clue, some have said Davy Jones was the warmest monkee. If so, he might introduce himself and his son as, "Dave and my son." Dave Mason.
I stumbled on this 'cause DjjD tweeted something about a FUGS reunion, and there was a Bob Mason in the band once.

I don't know why this wouldn't be a real clue. Having a red herring for the first one would seem weird to me, although of course we can't necessarily predict what DJ JD will do. But I don't think he's ever pretended a red herring was anything but - I don't think he would have said I was the closest if there was nothing to be close to.

Was the "warmest" monkee ever determined? I think I heard all mentioned except Peter. I guess the correct answer is verified after the lineup announcement?

DJJD replied to a post by someone that talked about Michael Nesmith, and said he was on the right track, plus there was Pepper's post about it being Michael or Micky. It's not certain that he was talking about that post of Pepper's, but combined with his comment about the other guy's Michael Nesmith guess, points pretty hard to Michael being the warmest. It's not 100% certain, though.

Once again PLPEP uses reason to enhance the season. No fishy biz yet.

omg I love mine. haha.
Anyway, no, I don't think we ever figured out who the warmest Monkee would be for sure. Geographically, it could be Mike or Micky (unless someone can decide whether Texas or LA is warmer). If you think popularity, looks like consensus is that that would point to Davy. The wool hat could make Mike the warmest...
I've come up with several other less plausible ways to make any one of the four the warmest, but nothing ever jumped out as a perfect answer and in any case, there's only four of them, so if we were on the right track it wouldn't totally matter if we could decide on one - that is, we could play with all four possibilities if we knew what to do with them! ;D
Edit: New tweet: Solid progress on both- esp. #number won, I mean one.

I thought we'd decided Michael was the warmest because he's always wearing a beanie hat in their pictures. Makes sense to me.

Agreed on the hat making one warm. Plus if we're talking about where they live now...the wording was "was" so that takes us back to the hat. Ingrid Michaelson it is.
