I'll be at work for the first part of the day and plan on leaving straight from work- so if someone who has my number could text me the finalized meeting place/time.. that'd be awesome! I can't wait!
^What time? I am going to Levon but I might drop by for a minute.
Hmm... maybe 6:00ish? I'm picking up Druid and belltwala downtown after I get off work, so I think 6:00 would be about the time we'd get to the other side of the river.
I can call/text you when I have a more definite time, Jess.
I'm not reading any posts because I want to be surprised, set-list wise, but everyone have fun in Nashville tonight, can't f*cking wait! Stop me and talk if you see a Coachella t-shirt, I'd love to meet some of you lovely people
Didn't get to make the show. Got tied up and since Ticketmaster lost my ticket in the mail and I would have had to go to Will Call, I wasn't sure how late the window stayed open. Oh well, maybe next time

Awesome time. I wish I had actually read some posts instead of avoiding seeing the setlist to meet some of you fine folks but it was still a great time. My buddy and I ate at Calypso Cafe. Highly recommend it, we split a half chicken and 6 sides for like 12 bucks. mmmm.
Anyways, on to the show. Loved the setlist and the covers. Preservation Hall was such a brilliant opener, walking into that place with them playing was a truly an amazing feeling.
Okay, so what's the deal with people throwing glowsticks at the band? It was ridiculous. Jim James got hit in the face once and like 2 other times in the chest. He rolled with it and of course still gave the crowd tons of love, but c'mon. These guys are playing their hearts out and having to keep in mind they might be hit in the face with a glowstick at any given time. That is my only complaint about the show. Oh, that and the fact that two kids in front of me were FREESTYLE RAPPING during Dondante.
Rapping. Over. Dondante. They stopped once the guitar solos kicked in, but still, couldn't hear the vocals during the verse at all...
It's suddenly lookin' better for the Merriweather!
Funny, it suddenly looks a lot better for all of us too. ;D ;D
.....oh really? ;D
belltwala1, I think you were standing right in front of me in Nashville! I recognized your tiara
I'd give a slight edge to the Birmingham show just cos it was so exciting to see the boys back at last, but Nashville was lots of fun too. 'Cept for those glowsticks....grrrrrr.
Hope they start to mix the setlists up a bit more as the tour progresses, but I was really happy with what we got. The new tune ("Friends Again") is SO much fun! And I was excited Carl got to do a song in Nashville, too. That was a treat.
i was at the nashville show. had a hell of a good time. was dead center and about 60 feet back... i was deep in the pocket, or at least it felt like it... i thought they sounded great and jim looked to be having a good time... i love the nintendo pistol. and the cape. it's like jim is building a superhero alter ego one step at a time.
the whole dondante>smokin from shootin>run thru>touch me part 2 was quite an experience... a full body buzz for a half hour. i don't think i'd ever heard that guitar part in dondante before...
lots of smoke in the air... smelled like a honey cave.
