i'm probably going to have to just skip the philly show. too much work and money to make it there alone. looks like i'll go even longer without an MMJ fix. gotta wait til they're only a couple hours away and hopefully on a weekend.
Got 6 tickets on the floor for the show in Chicago. Can't wait! Only $46 apiece. LiveNation offering no service charges for the month of June. Only time I'll ever give them credit for anything.

Some of those shows that they offer no service charges actually aren't saving money. There are shows that they just raised the original price and removed the service fees. I konw I was looking at MMJ at Philly a while ago and it was cheaper than $52 a piece. Livenation = still getting their money

My Morning Jacket to Play Long Awaited Hometown Show With Very Special Guests, The Louisville Youth Orchestra and Wax Fang
On Friday, October 29th, My Morning Jacket will be performing at University of Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center. Supporting the band will be the Louisville Youth Orchestra (LYO) and Louisville band Wax Fang. One dollar from every ticket sold will be going to the Louisville Youth Orchestra Continuing Education Scholarship, which raises money for at-risk youth to be able to attend school. The LYO was founded with the mission to provide high quality musical experiences and the opportunity to perform for the benefit of the Louisville community and its young musicians regardless of race, creed or economic circumstances. It is one of the oldest and largest youth orchestras in the US. The show will also continue the tradition of creating a “Local Louisville Village” inside the KFC Yum! Center, providing locally based businesses and non-profit organizations with a presence at their show.
Tickets for the show go on sale to the public on Saturday, August 14th at 10AM. A limited amount of tickets will be available at Ear X-Tacy on Thursday August 12th at 10AM, in celebration of the store’s 25th anniversary and its new location at 2226 Bardstown Road. In addition, My Morning Jacket will also be hosting a pre-sale to fans beginning at the same time. Check the MMJ shows page for information regarding the pre-sale, and other My Morning Jacket shows.
Psyched ;D For me, a MMJ L'ville show historically has meant staying at my buddy's parents' house, eating his dad's awesome homemade Reuben sammiches, and drinking copious amounts of bourbon.

My best bet is voodoo since it's the closest fix for Texas. Might just stick with ACL though and catch Monsters of folk since i already have my tickets and its free room and board. Still hoping they stop by Texas, I see no reason why they wouldn't.

The Yum! Center is the new arena for U of L basketball. The place was just recently finished. Should be a great time. Love seeing MMJ at home. www.arenaauthority.com/

I believe Starshine n myself will be at the louisville show. We checked it out earlier today and I believe it said something about the KFC Yum! Center, so maybe we'll all get free buckets of chicken and biscuits.

Just got my ticket for Holyoke - so pumped! I got completely shut out of the 5-night NYC run (or at least for the dates that worked for me), so this is the next best thing. As long as I get my MMJ fix somehow, I'm a happy camper.

AHHH!!! Just got floor tix for the louisville show through the presale!!! Wish I could have let you all know earlier but I luckily found out about it within 10 min before they went on sale. Anyway, the pw is louisville for it.... I'm sure you can find some great seats today but pretty sure the floor didn't last more than 5 min.
Just saw them in Boston on Saturday. I'd say only 10% of the place was full for MMJ and then it was packed for Petty. Was very disappointing and a pretty crappy venue.
Oh well, at least I'm doing a road trip to see them in Pitt, Canandaguia and Philly this weekend. Then a small wait until the NYC shows.
