thanks. i'm getting antsy, because i bought tickets for another show that night. so i really need to get rid of it. wish i could see them, but it will be better to go to show with friends than going to one by myself.
they need to announce a headlining gig up in the New England or New York area. But rumors on the internets (i.e. this board) are suggesting that something will be announced. If not, I'll probably just suck it up and spring for a lawn ticket, even though their set will be short and I have minimal interest in Tom Petty.
MMJ, Levon Helm, and Bon Jovi are all playing next week in Nashville on the same night. Due to the fact that I drag my GF to lots and lots of shows she has never heard of I may well be attending the third show.
Not the end of the world, though it is still up for grabs and I have MMJ tickets. She is from Malaysia, and got her PhD in Germany so she is not really up on American bands but she does love Jovi. If it helps I have taken her to John Prine, Leonard Cohen, and Rod y Gab,and she had never heard of them, and went somewhat willingly.
Her first show in America consisted of Robyn Hitchcock, Dave, and Gillian, John Paul Jones, Peter Buck, and the guy from Harvey Wallbanger, so she gets exposed to good music. It is just that Jovi is a favorite of hers, what a lousy night for it to happen though.

As for Merriweather....hopefully it'll be a nice day and we can all plan a meet-up in the lot before hand. This is the kick off for summer for me, so it better be nice......you hear me god? **fist to the sky** I've got Jacket, Jonsi, and Yeasayer all that week. As an update we are going to Levon Helm at the Ryman, everyone seems happy with this.
