To prepare myself for some of the bands I don't know a lot about I created a slacker radio station. Let me know if this link doesn't work. It's full of only bands playing Nateva.

On Nateva's facebook page they just asked what kind of indie bands we would like to see at Nateva. If you're going and want to suggest some that may actually get added to the lineup I suggest you go post now

For some reason it won't let me reply to that thread but I'm dying to... Do you need to be friends with them or something? I sent a friend request yesterday so hopefully that clears it up.
IMO EVERYONE POST THESE BANDS IF YOU LIKE THEM!!:
Broken Social Scene New Pornographers Built To Spill Modest Mouse Yo La Tengo Wolf Parade M83 Sigur Ros
6/18: Phish in Hartford 6/25: Phish in Camden 7/2-7/4: Nateva 7/17: God Street Wine at Irving Plaza 7/23-7/25: String Cheese at Red Rocks!! 8/17-8/18: Phish at Jones Beach 9/3: Rush at PNC
This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.

I couldn't get into the Hold Steady last summer. I went to "The Positive Jam" in Ithaca which was a one day mini-festival. I went to see Deer Tick and the Felice Brothers but gave the Hold Steady a chance. Just wasn't really into it. I listened to a few songs and they weren't horrible but I just wasn't as excited as much as other people.

as much as i am liking what this festival is doing with its lineup and interaction with fans, i dont think i can pull it off. I wanted to do this and Bonnaroo but its looking more and more like im going to have to pick one over the other, and bc the ticket price after they up it is so close i would feel pretty silly not going to Bonnaroo.

I asked about overlapping sets and unopposd headliners and they responded within 24 hours with this:
We expect the 2 main stages to run without overlap from each other. There will be a couple of minutes between acts as we switch between the two stages.
They answer tons of peoples questions. Can't wait for this one.

Someone asked about the next round of announcements and Nateva responded with:
Our best guess is that we will make one more major announcement of bands and that will happen mid to late next month sometime. We still have a lot of talented acts to announce as well as a couple of real big name performers that we think will surprise, diversify genre and push this whole festival to the next level. We expect that we will hold the current discounted ticket prices until then, too. Thanks for your continued support of our Dream. See you in Maine this Summer!
Can't wait to see who else they have. So far it's been nothing but positive for me. I've seen rumors on a couple different sites saying possible Trey solo show but we'll have to wait and see. Can't wait for 4th of July
Me: Did you say Retarded Steve was playing tonight? Boo: No, I have a speech impediment. I said that Retarded Steve is playing. www.411mania.com/siteimages/jcs logo_25254.jpg[/img] Check out Jam Central Station on Facebook on.fb.me/bT2xQx and @jamcentral411 on Twitter
Is there an online community dedicated to Nateva yet? Just wondering, cause I haven't been able to find a message board.
Not that I know of. I actually was thinking about starting up a proboards free one but I didn't want to do it myself and worry about all the small problems alone. As of now I just go on their facebook page a lot.
I'm not sure if I'm gonna go to Nateva, depends on a couple of things including a ride, but if there was an Infonateva board, I'd gladly check it out. I'm just sayin'. :-)

Yea I wanted to make one cuz this is such a good resource for people. I just don't know if I have the time to do it by myself and make the forum as helpful/active as others (like here and infobury).
Ok, I made the beginnings of a Nateva board. Anyone want to pay for the URL www.infoteva.com so that we can link that to the board? I don't know if I actually want to run the thing, but I at least got it started. If anyone wants to help mod it, let me know. Anyways, here's the message board. It's literally brand-new!

Woohoo, just bought my ticket. ITM, that bit of news about the next wave of announcements is sweet music to my ears. It won't be Trey, since Phish is touring, but that's fine with me. I already caught TAB in the city and the setlists don't vary all that much.
(sigh) If only Railroad Earth wasn't going to be on the other side of the country that weekend. It's all good though, Nateva is going to be a great ass time.

Yea....those rumors I read were from a while ago.....before Phish even had rumored dates. Sucks but oh well.
I'm hoping Dr. Dog or Portugal. The Man get added. Dr. Dog is less likely but Portugal. The Man aren't doing anything as far as I know. Book them!

they should add steel pulse, then i know my girlfriend would be more willing, because she's pretty much got her heart set on roo. not that i don't want to go to roo, i just want to go to all the festivals that i love but we can only afford one this summer.

Well they said mid to late next month in March. So in the middle/end of April is when the next big bulk (or total) additions will be announced. That's what they've been telling us on facebook and the nateva forums.

It's all good. Some people on nateva.proboards.com have found out some bands who said they're playing. Rustic Overtones, The Indobox, and Mark Karan are all apparently going to be added.
Post by guitardevil on Apr 4, 2010 10:41:33 GMT -5
i would expect rustic overtones, i'm pretty sure they are from portland. i remember hearing them on the radio years ago when i would spend the summer up there. not familiar wiith the other two on first read

lineup update coming a week from today with over 20 bands being announced. I've heard a few names that i've been sworn to secrecy for....some pretty big names (at least bigger then I expected for additions) and some decent late nights should be had. there are a few confirmed additions over at nateva.proboards.com . I think this final lineup will win over a lot of jam and indie fans.
