We did yuengling last year, and it just didnt taste good when it was 100 outside. This year i think ill bring some PBR, just because its cheap, light, and 5%. for the rest of my beer needs ill probably hang out in the broo'ers area... Although i would really like to bring a good case of some pale ale, but im not sure what kind.
Stella and Magic Hat in cans have been great so far this year...I wish more large-scale companies would follow suit. I'm talking to you, Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams! As far as imports, we've found Marten's and Hollandia in tall boys locally. No Festie though, anyone know if cans are available in Florida or possibly Georgia?
The best thing you can do is buy a mini keg of Bells Oberon. During the summer that is the one Bells releases in mini keg. It is the most beer for your money and is probably one of the best beers you can get in non glass form. We brought 2 last year and it was perfect.

I've been looking for Magic Hat #9 in cans everywhere around my area. My cousin who goes with me to Roo is looking for them in Nashville for me since he thinks he's seen them sold around there. Anyone have the scoop on where we can find some Magic Hat #9 in the Nashville area?

they sell all sorts of Magic Hat in the stores around me and I still had to search around everywhere for #9 in cans. most of the liquor store owners didn't even realize it existed

I'll be bringing some Daisy Cutter and Gossamer from Half Acre, located here in Chicago. (I work there as well, which is nice.) Gossamer, our golden ale, is a PERFECT summer beer. I drank 2 pint-sized cans of it last night after work, in a 15 minute span, no less. Lots of taste, and smooth as hell.
When I run out of Half Acre beer, I'll be switching to Yuengling (can't get it in Illinois, so it's a treat) & whatever's at the Manchester liquor stores.
so far i've got #9, Narragansett Summer Ale, and Michelob Ultra's for refreshers and keeping the buzz going. will probably invest in a 12-pack of Butternuts Variety as well. if anyone sees a tall burnt dude from rhode island carrying a #9 or Gansett summer i'm down to trade

Just went the cheap route fer this year. My local Harris Teeter had 24-packs of Yuengling on sale fer $14 a piece so I bought two. If Jury doesn't bring more than a suitcase fer himself I might pick up a few craft canned beers.

i'm a volunteer, getting there on tuesday. i'm during fest, so won't actually work until thursday at the earliest meaning tuesday and wednesday, i'm guessing a lot of beer drinking will occur. how much beer do you guys recommend i take? i'll be there tuesday-monday morning. YIKES. and i like beer...a lot.
Not sure if it'd be different fer volunteer campin', but fer GA we are allowed two 24-packs worth of beer and one 750ml bottle of liquor this year per person.

so day tripper and i purchased a 12 pack of magic hat #9, 12 of dale's pale ale, and a 6-pack of old chub yesterday. it seems like that will be a decent amount, given that we are sure to stop by the broo'ers festival... but can anyone recommend a good craft beer that we can pick up on the way? maybe in kentucky or tennessee that you can't find up north... thinking something along the lines of an IPA...

Harpoon IPA comes in cans in a 12-pack, and 21st Amendment makes a great IPA that comes in a six-pack of cans as well. I'll be bringing both of those, plus Magic Hat No. 9, and a six-pack of Dale's (way too heavy for me to drink during the day). I'd suggest checking the brewers' websites for a locator...that's how I found Magic Hat for me and several of my friends.
