Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Obviously the Hip-hop scene at Roo is becoming more and more prominent. This year with Emcee's like Jay Z, Nas, Jay Electronica, Kid Cudi, B.o.b, and Wale. Rap is becoming more a part of roo just as much as anything else. With that said, and since we are clearly starting our threads for next years wishes. I want Em and Wayne at Roo in 2011. As Nas would say, "hate me now" because this threads gonna be staring you in the face for at least the next 8 months till the lineup release for 2011. Let the Hating begin.

I say yes to eminem.... NO TO LIL WAYNE. Yes there are some other rappers out there. But if you look at eminems record sales and also see his 11 grammy awards you see hes pretty good! I VOTES YES, not only cause im from Detroit!
I thought eminem was going to be a late anouncement when I heard he did a show with jay z in ny last week but as of now no dice I think he is in europe
If Lil' Wayne plays Bonnaroo, you can count me out for good. I will never come back.
Eminem is good, a little angry though - not sure how I'd like that on the Farm. Outkast would be good, but I doubt it would happen. And, even though I love both of these, I feel like the money to get Eminem and Outkast at Bonnaroo would be better spent on someone else. I like my rap, but outside of Jay-Z and (up until 2008) Kanye West, I don't really think anyone is worth a "Top 4" price tag.
Give me the Roots, or a Galactic + Guests, or Mos Def, Nas, Snoop, Ghostface Killah, Public Enemy, etc. that can play a stage during the day and I'll have my rap fill.
Unless it's Dr. Dre & Friends...because that would be sick.
I'm not sure I'd want to see Em at Roo, even though he's talented. I just don't think that would be his place. Also, if this was about seven years ago it might have worked better than now.

Let me start by saying that I love hip hop. And Eminem and Lil Wayne both have some great songs but they were two of the worst live hip hop shows I have ever seen, easily the two worst when it comes to big names. That being said...my hip hop wish list for 2010...going on the basis that they don't have many repeat names...
Outkast or NWA Reunion...could be Friday night headliner absolutely K'Naan...did a troo music lounge only appearance...time to move up Ludacris is hilarious and not bad live Bone Thugs when they finally show up put on a pretty good show Eric B and Rakim Mos Def Slaughterhouse

Yeah I know but... DJ Yella and Ice Cube said they would do it...if they could get Ren and Dre up there and they do NWA and solo stuff as well it would be pretty good...
Or maybe instead of Dave and Friends you get Dre and Friends like someone said and it is Snoop, Cube, Ren, Xzibit, and Nate Dogg singing the refrains...live band too...

Honestly, I'd rather have Wayne than Em. Eminem's shows aren't anything special, and while he's easily one of the 5 most talented MCs alive, far too much of his songs are geared towards making 13 year old boys and idiots giggle. Rapping about mushrooms, killing his wife, trying to be "shocking," it all got played out. When Em just decides to flow, he's unreal. Too often though, when he makes "songs," they're absolute garbage. His guest spots lately have been fire, though, and his freestyle over "Beamer, Bentley, Benz" is siiick.
Wayne would be interesting - I've heard both great and terrible things about his live show. I doubt we'll see either there next year, though.
Rap acts I would like to see:
Outkast/ Big Boi Ghostface, Raekwon & Method Man Brother Ali Freeway & Jake One Reflection Eternal The Roots curating a 3+ hour hip-hop late night show packed with guests Kanye West, redeeming himself
This.
I know that Kayne would probably be a terrible idea for AC/S, but if he was ever booked I would be up front because I think he would absolutely bring it to try and make up for 08.

kayne could care less. it would be more likely that kurt cobain would resurrect himself than kayne go out of his way to make up for any of the stupid shit he has done in the past...

I don't think getting payed for the number 3 or 4 slot on the Bonnaroo would be considered going out of your way. I just think Kanye would put on a good show if he was ever booked.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
I think he would absolutely bring it to try and make up for 08.
Ummm.... but Kanye hates us?
But this Bonnaroo thing is the worst insult I’ve ever had in my life. This is the most offended I’ve ever been… this is the maddest I ever will be. I’m typing so quacking hard I might break my quacking Mac book Air!!!!!!!!
Why would he want to perform for us squidbrains?
Anyway, as for Eminem and Lil' Wayne at Bonnaroo... maybe and no. And I'm a fan of both. Eminem was actually great when I saw him.... in 2001. His music has changed a lot since then, and I don't really like anything he's put out since 2003. He just seems to have lost that creative wordplay ability that once separated him from most other rappers.
Now, I do like Lil' Wayne, but I have zero interest in ever seeing him live - and especially not on the farm. Besides the fact that he lip-synchs a lot live, when he was in Boston in autumn 2008, he didn't even go on stage. My girlfriend at the time's best friend's boyfriend (complicated, I know) was doing security that night, and wouldn't let Lil' Wayne and his entourage enter without a patdown. So, after a 30-minute stand-off, they just left without performing.

I don't understand why people love lil wayne and try and tout about how talented he is. His flow is cheezy and irritating and his lyrics are moronic. Listening to him makes me want to gouge my eyes out. To me, he is the epitome of what so wrong with commerical Hip hop right now. I cannot stress how terrible lil wayne is.
Bonnaroo gods, if you're out there, PLEASE DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER LET LIL WAYNE ANYWHERE NEAR THE FARM. EVER. PLEASE.
I would honestly rather have kanye headline all 3 nights than have lil wayne open a tent. Thats how strongly i feel about this.
Em, on the other hand, I kinda like. If he were on the farm I would never miss him. But I don't think he's a good fit.
