Chip Tha Ripper should be on Roo's radar, I think we have a realistic chance of getting him. If you aren't on this yet, now is your chance. He doesn't sound like Curren$y, but I put him on the same level as far as a good flow and good blaze music.

Also, new Goodie Mob album in the works for a release early next year. Obviously it depends on the fallout from the Moogfest cancellation, but Goodie Mob would be a huge upgrade from Cee-lo, for my tastes. And imagine the possibilities if Big Boi is on the farm as well.

HELL yes dude. you have no idea how happy it makes me to see this post. i live in akron ohio about 20 minutes away from chip and have been listening to him for about 6 years now since i was in high school. he has been so huge in our area amongst me and all my friends all throughout high school and he is finally starting to get some nationwide acclaim, its so cool. he plays shows on my campus all the time i just saw him last week and it was great. i would be ecstatic to see him on the lineup, never even considered it a possibility.
some older chip classics from when HE was still in high school that some people might not know about

I hope not. Not that I don't like a bit of Lil Wayne, but the spot he would take on the lineup would prevent someone better, and more deserving, from performing.
The fact that he is that he is headlining emo-fest along with a hosts of other lame artists should be enough information why he shouldn't perform at Bonnaroo.

Have you listened to Das Racist? I listened to them for the first time today and loved it. What I mainly like was all the subtle references to other rap songs. Jay-Z, Kanye, The Cool Kids, Lil Wayne....just little one liners from their songs mixed in real quickly among all of their lyrics. Like you wouldn't even catch it unless you really knew the other artist's music. That's a genius idea I think. I know people have always done that, but htey do it a lot. I like it.
I don't think it counts either of them out. Its the following weekend so even if they performed Sunday they have three full days, four partial days to travel. Thats not a big deal, especially if its planned far in advance. If anything this means they are playing at festivals next year, which is a good thing.
I've come around to Wayne & Eminem performing together. They're on SNL together tonight. I wouldn't be mad if they did a late-night set, each doing their hits with a bunch of special guests. Would be a lot of fun.
Edit - for the record, I'd MUCH rather have Kanye there.
My wish list for hip hop remains Kanye, then Dre, and then Eminem. I think all of them would have a lot of guests, and Kanye's tour to go along with MBDTF should be as big (in terms of production) as Glow in the Dark. Dre's tour is supposed to be similar to Up in Smoke, and I could see Eminem appearing during Dre's set. I'm starting to think Eminem and Lil Wayne, like Damian Marley and Nas (without an album), would do some material together and each have separate sets. It could be a lot of fun, and Eminem and Wayne is probably the most realistic of the three.
What do you guys think of ATCQ being at Roo? I didn't feel like reading through this whole thread, but these guys, along with Wu Tang/Ghost and Rae are definitely on top of my wishlist for a classic hip hop act to be at the farm.

Wayne was definitely better than Eminem.
But I realized by the second song, I hadn't understood a word they were saying. Literally one word, an "and" or a "the" or a "orange ice cream sandwich."
I don't know what that means, but I wasn't a big fan of it.
Yeah it wasn't all that clear, I understood em. but I think that's just because I knew the song. I thought that might have been the fault of SNL, but then I remembered the phenomenal SNL performance from Jay Z last year. (I think it was last year) I don't know, the more I think about it, The more I come around to the realization that they probably won't be able to top Jay from last year. The only hip hop act that would even come close would be Outkast, maybe the Wu-Tang Clan. Now there are many realistic acts that I would love to see, just none that are going to be as big as Jay Z LN What or Beasties pre- headline from 09.
P.S. I take all this back if we could actually get Kanye back.
That album is full of corny lyrics, him trying to sing, and the production is substandard. He's got all the talent in the world, and when he wants to get on he's on, but often he's just lazy.
I guess thats why SNL got him and Wayne to perform together. They have both followed very similar paths in their careers, in regards to the way their music has evolved, with some differences in their actual sound.
I don't see a joint set at Roo being very likely, unless I missed something that suggests the SNL performance is anything more than a one off, ratings booster.
I don't see how I could totally enjoy an Em set on the farm, unless he was a guest during a Dre set. I'd probably have a better chance of enjoying Lil Wayne, provided his set was made up of material prior to his last 2 albums (and the YM album) and only a few songs off of Carter 3, and, like you said, he brings the band.
