And it's a free festival. Anyone ever been, or going this year?
I personally save all of my money for Roo every year and rarely ever go to other shows (especially since most bands skip upstate NY) but I am thinking for free I can definitely make the drive down for this. I would love to see Jimmy Eat World, Neon Indian, Yeasayer and The Temper Trap again and Chromeo and LCD are past roo sets I missed
They are but you had to have signed up for emails before hand.
Tickets to the 2010 Virgin Mobile FreeFest will be available to the public on TicketFly at 10 am EST on Saturday, 7/24. Virgin Mobile customers and previous Virgin Mobile Festival ticket holders from the past four years will be invited via text and email to a private “free-sale” (much like a pre-sale, except free) to be held Friday, 7/23.
I've made it to 3 out of 4 Vfests so far. Last years was pretty crappy and the first time they had it at Merriweather. It will be cool dancing to Chromeo in the trees though. Surprised they didn't get more DJ's for that area though. This lineup is 10x better then the previous years.
ok so my buddy just confirmed he will gladly go with me to this if we can get tickets but i found an article from last year and all the comments were saying that there was some password for the presale (which was leaked) and that there were NO tickets left by the general sale. no im sad i got my hopes up (not that i wont still try)
hey everybody, just got an email back from the fest. this year there will be tickets reserved both for the presale and the on-sale. in addition you can get the presale password just by signing up for their email blast. hopefully tickets won't be impossible to get but if any of you use this information and get tickets and I don't you have to bring me along
the presale code is Loft I just got it in an email so go to the tickets page at 10am on friday eastern time. good luck people i hope u get a ticket!
