This is a tiny festival (usually 200-300 folks). It's inexpensive ($60-70). It's one of my favorite weekends of the year. Very relaxed atmosphere, super heady vibes, no security checks. You camp in the woods, you can have camp fires at your sites. There's hiking and swimming. Soccer during the day in the field and late-night dance parties at the side stage. Bonfires every night at the main stage, the bands are always REALLY REALLY good. There's no separation between camping and the venue so you can bring your beer, chairs, coolers, food, whatever to all the shows. Limited vendors means you have to bring in what you want to drink/eat, but we usually go to town (15 min drive) at least once for ice and such. They had a beer vendor on Memorial weekend for the first time, but it was pretty expensive compared to just bringing your own.

Oh, I'm in. I might not make all my fests this year, but the ones I skip will be the more expensive ones, if I have to.
This looks very similar to Hoopee Jam, 40 miles from my house last year. I went to that one alone, got Spundayed on Saturday nite, had fun, but would have done better with adult supervision, so keep an eye and a video camera on me.

FARK!!! I just realized that this is the very next weekend after Blackwater. I normally take at least two weeks to get close to normal human functioning after a fest. I may have to reconsider. I really need to start looking at a calendar before I commit to these things.

I think it's gonna be alright. It's too late now to turn back. After all, I've been planning this trip for like two days or something like that. I just didn't realize these two fests were back to back, thought I had a week or two extra in between.
I'm instituting austerity measures, including a total freeze on combs, brushes, haircuts, and mirrors. This will save an estimated $0, but at least will not contribute to the deficit.
Also, I'm working on a new program of auto-massage to help the elderly muscles recuperate faster. I am also researching some new experimental herbal nutrients, which may improve recovery time.
Although I've never done back to back fests before, I feel that I'm at my peak mentally and physically now, and if not now, when? So, IT'S ON BITCHES! See ya on the otherside.

I admire your fortitude! It may put you at ease to know that CR is a shorter fest (only Friday thru Spunday - we always stay til Monday) and it's very laid back. So the fact that's it's less intense will probably make doing back to back fests a little less of a challenge than one would think. I'm soooo glad you are coming though! You have to meet my friend Mike that is always at CR. You guys will totally hit it off, I just know it!
You know I'll be there! Wow, Camp Reggae is going to go up a few notches in SPUNkiness with Dale there. And my bunny ears just couldn't work that well because the intensity of my brain waves were interfering with the battery.

Of course, I'd love for you to do both though. But really, the campmates at BW are the more preferable to spend a weekend with. ;D
