wasnt last year the first year they revisited camping? Maybe people werent sold on the camping issue then after how awesome it was last year (minus the shower experiences) it sold more people on the festival,
i am a night owl myself, but i'm thinking it will be nice to have a couple extra hours of sleep. i could survive on a little bit of sleep, but the heat at bonnaroo last year drained me. so not having much sleep didn't help make me feel any better.
thanks for the advice on the weather...i'd been hearing the same thing, that it gets pretty cold at night.
yes, but if he just had surgery this month and it will take at least 3 months to heal, then it does put it into question.
edit: since i read the article, they've taken out a bit about coachella they had at the bottom. if you look to the left of the article it says: "artists mentioned: coachella and kings of leon". wonder if they asked them to remove that portion.

airplane ticket bought! unfortunately, my cheapest option is driving an hour to austin to depart. but for 130$ difference, i will do it.
one thing i heard was that you aren't allowed to leave the stage area (aka their centeroo) once you've entered for the day...hence the onsite lockers. this seems strange and annoying.
EAP, where'd you hear that? I haven't encountered any mention of that over at the Coachella site/boards, so if I just missed it that would definitely be something I'd want to know.
my friend jordan who i am going with has been three times before and that's what he said. but he didn't go last year, so things could have definitely changed. i haven't lurked over on their board too much, suppose i should start doing that to get some tips and know what to expect a little more.
Ah, yeah; I just posted this question over there and they said that it was that way until last year (which I guess coincides with the advent of car camping), so that would make sense. I sent the question to their official info contact to get an absolute answer.
I ended up selling my camping pass and ticket, because my friends did not get tickets in time. Even with Wakarusa and Bonnaroo on the horizon, I am seriously disappointed I won't be on the polo fields this year. Maybe I just had an epic and ideal festival experience last year, but there's something special about that place.
Last year, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. To much nostalgia about it right now. Excited to see if it was Coachella itself, or the fact I finally did a festival right. I think it was a combo of both.
