With Jay-Z killing it last year, what hip-hop acts do you guys think will be making an appearance for the 10th anniversary? you gotta think at least one will be a headliner and then they will have a hip-hop tent like last year. B.o.B. and kid cudi were great last year as well. I've heard rumors of outkast or the whole dungeon family...that would be incredible! i would like to see cudi back, just releasing a new album next week so he will probably be on tour at some point.
Outkast would be absolutely incredible. I know some people on the boards are pulling for Gorillaz. I would love if Beastie Boys are there. I wasn't at Roo in 2009. I think they should try and get Wu-Tang. They are playing a show in Pittsburgh soon, but I can't go because it's 21+, and I'm only 20. Eminem would kill it. Granted, we'd have to put with his new stuff. Also, if they don't get OutKast, they should at least get Big Boi because his solo album is the leno.
p.s. I never thought Jigga Man would be that good. He was my favorite show last year.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Mos Def is definitely due an appearance at Bonnaroo, I'd Leno a brick if him and Talib could perform as Blackstar. If Outkast isn't bookable as a headliner/BNA I would like to see Big Boi. I think the Clipse would be cool at Bonnaroo
As far as newer/smaller artists, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, Chip tha Ripper, Big Sean, J. Cole, would all be great to see
Edit: I think Gorillaz could be considered hip-hop
i want a hip hop tent....Outkast, BlackStar, Common, Binary Star, Brother Ali, Sage Francis (w/ Curtis Plum), Living Legends, Cunninlynguists, Cannibal Ox, Eyedea & Abilities (RIP Eyedea ): )

I would really like to see them bring Atmosphere back, or Felt would be amazing. Everyone enjoyed Murs in 09 and Atmosphere is a good draw so why not combine them both for an awesome set.

Are you from Pgh chooch? I will definitely be at the Wu show on NYE. Caught Method Man and Redman when they played Altar in August such a fun show

I think there is a decent chance of seeing Lauryn Hill on the farm next year. She has recently returned to the music scene, as well as her appearance on Rock the Bells and at the Harmony Festival this past year, and the fact that in recent years Bonnaroo has aimed for a big name in hip hop to grace the What Stage (ie. Snoop, Jay-Z)

I definitely agree with all the suggestions on here so far, but I think an obvious choice that seems to always be overlooked is 3 6 Mafia. They're from just down the road in Memphis, have won an Oscar, and I'm sure put on an incredible show. I know they violate the "radius" clause since they play at Memphis in May every year, but it's their hometown so I'm sure AC could make an exception. I'd also like to throw some support for Tech N9ne, Immortal Technique, Eyedea & Abilities (well at least Abilities), or Aesop Rock.
That's what they said about Chinese Democracy. It'll drop, but it'll suck.
But I really don't see Dre playing Bonnaroo. He's too big to play anything but headliner, or at least Jay-Z's spot, but I really can't see him playing that.

I'd like to see her at roo next year, just saw her last week in Miami. I didn't want to set my expectations too high, but she was great. She rapped, sang and danced like James Brown with her hair blown out in a huge afro. She had a drummer, two guitarists a bass player, and two keyboard players, as well as three backup singers. She did revamped versions of Fugees songs and songs from Miseducation. I'd heard spotty reviews of recent concerts but she was just as good as I remember her with the Fugees back in the day.

My girlfriend is not outdoorsy in the slightest and has told me for certain that she isn't going to come with me to Bonnaroo in 2011 (didn't come in 2010 either). However, if Lauryn Hill was there, she would flip her shit and there's a decent chance she'd end up coming with (but she would make us get a hotel).

I want Lauryn Hill there, but I'd hate for you to have to get a hotel for Bonnaroo. Haha.
I'd like to see Drake. Kid Cudi would also be nice (he did play last year, but has another album out and would probably play a much bigger spot ala Zac Brown and MGMT kind of thing).
Lil' Wayne doesn't fit on the Farm.
I hate Eminem as a person, but he's so damn good that I'd love to see him live. However, I'm kind of wondering how his vibe would be at Roo. He's a little too dark/angry for Bonnaroo, if you ask me.
Dr. Dre is iffy, because we never know what he's doing, but Detox is "supposed" to be coming out soon. However, I think if he does headline a festival it would be Coachella. A Dre set would be legendary, though - imagine the guests...
Not necessarily rap, but I've been wondering if Rihanna or Beyonce would appear on the Farm. Beyonce is supposedly rumoured for Glastonbury, so she might be making the festival circuit soon ala her husband.
Outkast would be amazing, as always, but who knows what the quack they're doing.
Lauryn Hill and/or a Fugees reunion would be fucking amazing. I'd love to see it.
Wu Tang I could easily see there. Mos Def & Common are always welcome, too. Wiz Khalifa is also pretty damn good and I'd like to see.

I don't think this is a big hip-hop fan heavy board. I think most of us enjoy hip hop on the side but aren't truely devoted to it, so it makes sense.
But just fyi, I saw Ghostface Killer free at UCF when I was in college, and he blew so bad. But I'd love for a Wu-tang or method man set. Atmosphere tops my wish list for hip hop though.
And outkast aint gonna happen people, but I think there's a great chance for a big boi latenight

That's what I've been thinking. Even if Outkast did somehow happen, I really can't see them as a headliner like everyone else seems to think. Big Boi late night would be epic though.

I think Outkast would "headline" ala Beastie Boys. I don't see them in a traditional 2.5 hours headlining set. But I still don't believe they will be there, as much as I want to see it. At this point I will be happy with a Big Boi set.
