Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
The above pictures reminded me of a question I meant to ask. The dirt road that is to the left of the Which Stage, is that open for VIP? I noticed folks using it last year and wasn't sure if VIP could use it, or if it was artists. Looks like a nice shortcut to the What Stage without having to deal with the What Ditch.
I somehow managed to wander back there on accident looking for a restroom, and no one stopped me. I guess you could try, haha.
Are there actual vendors inside the VIP camping area?
I know this was (kind of) answered already but I wanted to elaborate. There were one or two white food trucks that were selling breakfast and coffee every morning (I'm not sure about other meals, we were grilling our own food for lunch and dinner), but the lines were always awful. Even if you just want coffee you have to wait in line the entire time. I got coffee and breakfast from them the first day, my food was good, but not worth the half hour wait. I'd either advise just grabbing some fruit from the VIP tent to hold you over or venturing out into Centeroo for your meals and coffee. The selection in Centeroo is much better, and you don't have to do deal with that long line.
FWIW, in my post-Bonnaroo survey I suggested more vendors/food trucks in the VIP, so maybe they'll add one or two more...but I'm not counting on it.

I hope people don't take this as trolling but I found this post on another site and it made me laugh. Some people just don't get it:
Yes but it's still 'Roo. Even having VIP, it's barely tolerable. If you don't have VIP, and you're over 30 & mature, you will hate it. We had tremendous connections, backstage access, free beer & water & some free food, and it was still a major hassle. The logistics are at times very difficult to manuver, meaning just getting from one stage to another presents problems. The VIP camping is at best okay. You walk a football field length to get a shower; the shower in the camper sucks. Period. If you take your own tour bus in, that would be the way to go. If you're thinking of the camping scene, good luck. It was literally gross. Have fun in the morning waiting in line 30 minutes for a port-a-potty that's not close to clean. If it sounds like I am whining, I'm not. I am spot on, and anyone who's done it knows the deal.
This guy sounds like a ton of fun to spend a weekend with. I can't wait to get there!!!

I guess I need to get my own tour bus. That's what I've been doing wrong all these years.
I actually looked into it this year, thinking it would be expensive, but still manageable considering how many people it could hold. Holy shit was I wrong! Those things are ridiculously expensive to rent!

Come on give it up, how much? I've always been curious.
Can anyone give me some impressions of how filled the VIP viewing area at Which was last year?
I can only speak for the shows I attended last year, but it seemed pretty wide open. I was not VIP, however, so it may have just looked wide open in comparison to the cramped GA space.
It was wide open, which is part of what concerns me. I am concerned that they will look at it like we did not need the space instead of did not know about the space (since there was never any information about it) and they will get rid of it.

I hope not. Almost the soul reason I spent 4x the money per ticket..
Does anyone think there is ANY way they open VIP on Wednesday this year? My original plan was to set up on Wednesday night but then I had that idea thwarted when I read VIP doesn't open until Thursday. Has anyone ever had success getting in VIP on Wednesday?

I had read that they don't open up VIP until Thursday bc the need to fill up BFE first.

The earliest they have opened VIP is 7 am on Thursday since 2006.

It varied from show to show but was never packed like GA. The most full I saw it was for Foster the People and Skrillex and still plenty of room to dance and move for both.
As previously mentioned this was one of the best (if not the best) perk of being VIP, if they take it away from us I will be extremely disappointed to say the least.
I think it's safe to say we will all be completely devastated if the VIP package loses that Which viewing pit from last year. I've got my fingers crossed the feature will remain, but since Bonnaroo maintains a bizarre oath of secrecy as to exactly what is included in the VIP package, we can't be sure until we get there. So, in the event that the prime Which viewing is taken away, what I suggest is that we each pack one or two planks and a handful of oily rags so we can form a torch-bearing mob should we need to show our displeasure.
I keep hearing of all these changes... Does anyone know when we will have VIP viewing area confirmations, etc?
This is posted on the Bonnaroo website:
Deluxe bathrooms and showers. And three exclusive VIP lounges located throughout the site (The campground and Centeroo VIP lounge include laptops with Internet access, cell phone charging stations, gaming areas and a live video feed of festival performances). VIP ticketholders also get exclusive viewing areas for the What and Which stages, and a commemorative Bonnaroo merchandise package, including two t-shirts and posters.

Right, but we do not find out where the viewing areas are until we get there. What stage viewing has been on VIP hill for a while. It's actually pretty nice if you do not want to be down in the fray, with entrances by the What checkpoint and toward the stage.
Which has changed a few times. Last year was the best with a separate pit behind the artist pit, and that is what people are concerned about losing. We will not figure that out until we get there.

I liked the Which stage VIP viewing area last year, but for really crowded shows, like Skrillex, it was hard for me and my friends to get to and from the fenced in area (People seemed to fill in the entry way, meaning you got smushed up against the rails trying to get to and from the area). I'm not going VIP this year (Ugh), but I hope they address that for the people who do go.
Hello Hello. First time to ROO and have a few questions for you PROS about VIP experience:
1. Is VIP more of a family atmosphere? I'm wanting the convenience of showers, etc. but I don't want to sacrifice a party for it. Are there still all day parties? I've heard that GA camping is more like slum villages but there is always fun to be had. I'm hoping that VIP is more hospitable but not lacking of a good time.
2. If a VIP passholder can't arrive until Friday morning, will he/she be forced to park in BFE of VIP or is that not even an option?
3. Does anyone bring corn hole, drinking games, etc? Or is there just no room/time for it?
