1. Next to Which Stage. This has an air conditioned VIP Lounge with about 4-5 air conditioned bathroom trailers behind it. 2. The Hill next to What Stage . This has 4-5 air conditioned bathroom trailers, a large beer tent, and provided lawn chairs
I forgot about the ones on the Hill.
Those are my go-to for shows at What. I don't really like being on the Hill, so I'll move up in the field and then run out to the Hill for a quick bathroom break.
Also -- you have to be very adament and very assertive with the parking attendents. Most are volunteers, so they are given a list of rules that they must enfoce and to them, there is zero flexibility. Obviously a supervisor would think differently but, as we all know, communicating on the farm isn't always easy. So just be very persistent, roll up the windows, and park where you like because damnit, you paid for that shit.

So what's the best camping area in VIP? I was looking at the map and they all seem great, but is A the one nearest the VIP lounge? How do they usually park cars when arriving Thursday?

for what it's worth, my approach was to simply stand beside the attendee at the edge of the lot lines and say "Look, I'll gladly move my car those nine inches back over the line. First, just tell them to." and then pointed at the dozen or so cars in any random direction doing the exact same thing. Whoever is helping may get red in the face at this point, so be sure to follow up with "Can I get you a water?"

They fill from Centeroo on out to the fence line by the trees. All spots are good, but the best ones are usually a few hours in so you are dead center by VIP lounge areas and can see WHAT from the comfort of your tent.

This is where we were last year and shooting for again. We got there right at 7am.

I always feel like it's best to be camped further up the hill, closer to the air-conditioned tents and restrooms. Nothing's worse than waking up in the morning and having to hike a ways to one of the sets of bathrooms. Last year they parked us pretty far away from them.

We arrived Thursday around 3pm last year and were placed a few rows back from but still pretty much right behind the VIP lounge. We were directly even with the shower trucks and bathrooms in the lot and it was easy to see lines to know when to go and when not to go. It was also 5 minute walk to the VIP lounge outside the festival. It was our first time doing VIP but after walking the whole area (feverishly to find the brunch) it seemed to be the near ideal area to be from a logistic standpoint. Its where we hope to end up this year.

alright. so I did VIP last year, and this year I might be doing VIP if my cousin can get a single VIP ticket. anyway, I'm wondering, if she goes GA, could I go camp in GA with her? because I'm almost positive GA can't come camp in VIP. anyway, the whole plan was for us to camp together. so if anyone knows anything, let me know! this is driving me insane and Bonnaroo is awful at returning emails.

If you are VIP, you can camp in GA with her. She can not camp in VIP with you.

Will you both be arriving in the same car? As long as that car has a car camping pass, you're good to go. If you're taking separate cars, you can haul your stuff over to her without issue too.
There really shouldn't be any issue for a VIP to go to GA.
