So, I've been enjoying my paladin/warlock build in BG3, but I'm beginning to slightly regret multiclassing since it means I won't get access to all the coolest shit near and at the level cap (I'm most likely going 7/5 or 8/4, depending on how I feel). Thank god for Withers, or I'd most likely be toying with starting over even though I'm almost through with Act 1.
Anyway. I'm thinking I might want to try a Circle of the Moon Druid or a Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer. Anyone play with either of those classes and think they were awesome/not so awesome?
I play Draconic Bloodline in my and SFA's BG3 game and enjoy it a lot. I took a level of wizard to just open up my spell list, but the rest is DB sorcerer. I caused havoc a lot and being DB makes much less squishy than I normally would.
I have that weapon. I have seen other articles with people talking about doing that.
Kind of a crazy achievement of balancing that this is the first kind of thing I've heard about game-breaking spells, etc.
There are a few things in the game that are that crazy powerful. It's insane.
I read an article about how this dude maxed out his monk character and he deals 240 points of damage per turn. My character is a monk and she's really fucking strong, but not 240 pts of damage per turn strong. I think sometimes it's a matter of how well you know the source material (d&d), the magical items hidden in the game you find and a great imagination, that allows you to do some crazy, stupid, insane damage.

I played as a Druid and I really enjoyed it. Def want to do a replay after I fishing spider man 2
I finally got the platinum trophy on Lies of P. Definitely my game of the year. It is also one of the hardest games I have ever played, but the second and third playthroughs are much more manageable than the first!
Some speculation about whether the male protagonist is playable or just a companion character you give directions to. Given that he's driving in much or all of the trailer, I would guess he is playable and might be a Franklin type.

My top ten for the year:
Spider-Man 2 Chants of Senaar (btw this is a must play that went under a lot of people's radars) Dave the Diver Starfield Against the Storm Diablo IV Baldur's Gate III Venba Cocoon (great game but I can't beat the third boss) Humanity
I still need to play TOTK, Dredge, RE4, Avatar, FFXVI, Jedi Survivor, and especially Alan Wake 2 and Super Mario Wonder
Fuckin crazy good year for games, would love to see everyone else's favorites
both look really good but I'm so spoiled by Game Pass that the idea of buying games for full price that aren't insanely good (like GOWR) just makes me sad
Guessing you’re an Xbox guy? The ps game pass is just alright imo. Yeah it is def hard to shell out the cash. Maybe I’ll play GOW 2018 instead lol. But dang as a marvel junkie , Midnight suns looks awesome
midnight suns fucks, perfect game to put 60 hours in for no reason

I played a few others but those are my standouts. I still need to play starfield and Jedi. I never even got Jedi because of how buggy it was when first released. I think a buggy first release is never a good look for a game.

BG4? Does your uncle work at Nintendo or something? 🤣

Ugh fat finger and then edited your post instead of quoting. I'm doing great today. 🤦♀️

Currently playing Cyberpunk and the DLC. It’s not the best but I enjoy combat enough to stay engaged to finish it. Going to play GOW after that. Still need to buy Mario Wonder and RPG.
I’ll have to check out some of these games I’ve not heard of.
I still need to scoop that up! Have you seen the new Prince of Persia Lost Crown? Its a metroidvania side scroller that also looks high quality.
Just built a gaming pc for the holidays and ive been playing the heck out of The Finals and Valhiem with some buddies. Both very fun in different ways.

I haven’t I’ll have to check it out after this. I need to make the investment and build a gaming computer. Computers just have so many more fun cool nerdy games I want to play.

Jesus Christ, y'all, I just looked back on this thread and realized I have been playing Baldur's Gate 3 for FOUR MONTHS. I'm well into Act 3, but I still have what I assume are a number of really big side/companion quests to finish, and haven't even moved either of the main plotline quests forward since entering the Lower City. I think it's a combination of my need to do and find EVERYTHING and the fact that I'm playing on dad time - 30 minutes here, 30 minutes there when I can squeeze it in.
But I can't remember the last time a game took me this long to finish and I stuck with it. Maybe never. Like, I've spent a third of a year on this fucker. Since I'm at the level cap, already, a part of me just wants to ditch all the side stuff and beeline for the finish, but then the other, neurotic part of me won't let that happen.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?
