I got a 3DS with Pokemon Y and Animal Crossing: New Leaf for Christmas. Been having a ton of fun with both of them so far. Debating between Super Mario 3D, Ocarina of Time, and Super Mario 3D as my next purchase.
I have played a sick amount of Pokemon Y. If there are any specific mons that you want I can trade em to ya, I literally have just about caught then all.i feel like this post is more suited for the confessions thread.
I do. Though I haven't much lately. My gamertag is CrocodileBaby
Nice, I'm Bimtates. I don't play too much, mostly NHL 14, but I have a buddy I go mining with and build crazy ass forts. If I catch ya online, we should build something beautiful together

Anybody else out there still playing their SNES? I just recently beat Chrono Trigger for probably the 20th time.
I still have my SNES packed up. The DS version of Chrono Trigger is even better than the SNES version though. I mean it's the same game, just redone for two screens and some improvements made. Also, I have an R4 chip for my regular DSxL and with a 16MB microSD card in it, it can hold every NES and SNES rom + a ton of GB, GBA, and DS roms. So yeah running emulators on a DS is pretty tight d*ck. I have no qualms about doing this because I continue to give nintendo money for new games on 3DS, Wii-U, eshop, etc and don't see a problem using roms of old games that I already own, had owned, or ones that I never owned that you can't buy anymore. It's pretty easy to set up, you just have to download latest firmware, turn off online updates on DS, and reset the DS clock sometimes.

Heh...
Mark Turmell, lead designer of the extremely popular 90s video game "NBA Jam," revealed in 2013 that he had rigged the game so that whenever the Chicago Bulls played the Detroit Pistons, they were at a steep disadvantage. According to Turmell, whenever the two teams would face off, Bulls' star Scottie Pippen would have his skill ratings decreased to play poorly. If a game was close, almost none of the Bulls' shots would be allowed to go in. As you may have guessed, Turmell was a huge Pistons fan.

So not only would I have to cough up $400 bucks for Xbox One, but i'd have to buy the new Elder Scrolls Online game $60. Now they are making me pay $15 a month to play the game as well on top of my Xbox live subscription. F*ck that.
I've gotten back into gaming a lot more recently, and signed up for gamefly. I've been playing my first game for the last couple weeks...
Anyone else get into this game since it came out?
If anyone can show me how to adjust the size of the image. I'd appreciate it.
You can adjust the max width in the code on the post to crop it down as I did with this one.
I watched a walkthrough, but I never actually played it. You could definitely see the influence of their design for Uncharted on top of a different storyline.

Thanks. I was unsure if that was it or not.
I've only played the first Uncharted, even though I own the second one. So, I'm not sure how the game had developed over the last two. Since I've started this game, it's gotten more and more addicting. The story is well done, the graphics are top notch for the ps3 (characters facial expressions are incredibly lifelike). Another thing I really enjoy about it, is the added realism of performing certain small tasks in the game. For example, the time it takes to switch to weapons that are in your inventory, but not in your holsters, or when patching yourself up after injuries. I the any free time I can get to play.

It's certain above Uncharted in the level of design and thoughtfulness put into the game, but you can definitely tell that they are made by the same company. To some extent, Last of Us is almost like a preview of what Uncharted 4 can be whenever it comes out. If you have Playstation Plus, Uncharted 3 was one of the free games on PS3 a couple months ago.

Damn... so, Dark Souls 2 dropped yesterday, and I had no idea. Gonna have to pick that up for PS3 some time within the next week, hopefully tomorrow. I've not been keeping up with it, but damn, Demon's and Dark Souls are both easily among my top 10 games of all time.
I finished The Last of Us a week ago. That was a great game. Great story with a "fuck you" ending. I'm now about an hour into the new Tomb Raider. Dark Souls II is next on my game Q on game fly.
Got Dark Souls 2 yesterday, already logged about 9 hours in. Played it for about 30 minutes before work today, with some boosted confidence in finishing the first boss before bed this morning... died like twice in a row on stupid shit. This game simultaneously makes me want to cry and compulsively continue on. Love it.
Finished South Park Stick of Truth today (as mage class). Very entertaining game. Will play through Jew class next although I don't think it changes the story any...just your abilities. The game has the fight mechanics of a paper mario game for the most part. I just started Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze today and it's amazing. Still play Starcraft II everyday. And some Hearthstone and DIablo III on occasion.
Dark Souls 2 is fucking brutal... like usual, I'm getting my ass kicked really early, and thus not playing as much as I initially wanted to, just doing a few sessions of grinding here and there. The level design, combat mechanics, and for the most part visuals are really top in this... already, I think this is pretty clearly the "best made" of Demon's or Dark.
Anybody ever play DayZ? The zombie survival mod for Arma II? Pretty good stuff. Starting to get the hang of it.
I love DayZ! I haven't played in a couple weeks because I've been busy, but I really like it. I have the standalone though, not the mod. First game I've paid full price for ($30) since Diablo 3 (I'm poor) and I'm not disappointed. I'm excited to see the finished product (it's early access alpha).
