Fortnites new battle royal (PUBG) mode is pretty legit. Actually like it more then PUBG.
I've watched a few streamers playing it lately. I don't really care for the look of it overall.
It def has a more styleized art direction but I think that will help last the test of time. Gameplay is solid though and fun as hell. When they update with drivable cars and prone it will be better then PUBG. Plus the PUBG devs are being little bitches.
RDR 2 trailer looks incredible. I wish it was still slated for this year.
It's one of the few games I will buy on the day it comes out for full price. I loved the previous one and can not wait to get through this one as well. Hoping it's good.

Any Forza players in here? I had 7 preordered but cancelled it a month ago after they revealed the not-much-changed car and track lists. I've looked in on a couple streams last couple days and strikes me as a BIG departure. How's the play experience been for you?

My roommate bought a sweet computer. So when hes out, ive been playing Mount & Blade: Warband. Awesome medieval game with some great mods (GoT included)
Just played Stellaris for a few hours. Got the gameplay down, looks like a good one.

I've never been on realistic racing sims, but did read about this game having loot crates. What a joke.
That and new car collection system are among most prominent changes. If you think about fads in gaming over last 2 years while they were in development (destiny & pokemon) it would appear they are chasing the trends rather that setting them. I've picked up project cars 2 instead and am enjoying it. It is really hardcore as a simulation (car setup, longer races, tough ai, no rewind) so is taking some time to get up to speed with but making advancement that much more rewarding as I put these lessons and practice to good use.

MS knows that games as a service is what’s makes them money these day. Just look at their new Netflix esc Game Pass service. Gears has moved to that direction same goes for halo. The benefit of this is there are no longer season passes for dlc maps that split the player base. That said, forza 7 is the best looking racing game I’ve seen and can only imagine how much better it will look on the 1x in 4k hdr. I think 7 entries into the series most will know if theyre a fan of forza or not. I’m more of a horizon guy.
also there an no micro trans in FOrza 7. crates are only bought with in-game earned currency. cant buy with real cash.
They waited unail after reviews came out but have confirmed this is changing.
no doubt it will change down the line probably closer to a year when Forza Horizon 4 launches. forza games come out every two years, with Horizon launches in between. Who wants to pick up a game 25-50% in its lifespan and be crushed by people w/ more cash for tuning their cars b/c they have played since its launch. when turn10 enables the pay crates it gives folks the option that have more money then time that would still like to compete and have fun in the game.

I liked Until Dawn... a bunch of people died. Some of their deaths included: head explodes, head cut off, caught on fire, guy misuses flame thrower and shoots himself, head crushed by a demon, etc.
Souls fans, if you still have a PS3 and Demon's Souls, the online servers are being shut down in the end of February. Rumor and speculation is that it is to be remastered/remade for PS4 this coming year, for whatever reason. But, I already know of a few of my friends who have hooked up their PS3s for the first time in many years to get a last bit of playing in this classic game. I started a new build when I got my 1st gen PS3 earlier this year, but the Switch, Persona 5, and other PS2 games (as well as Skyrim... yes, still) claimed my attention pretty quickly. I'm playing right now, and I'm at SL 12 currently and I'm not seeing anyone, though... I hope that changes as I level up.
