Souls fans, if you still have a PS3 and Demon's Souls, the online servers are being shut down in the end of February. Rumor and speculation is that it is to be remastered/remade for PS4 this coming year, for whatever reason. But, I already know of a few of my friends who have hooked up their PS3s for the first time in many years to get a last bit of playing in this classic game. I started a new build when I got my 1st gen PS3 earlier this year, but the Switch, Persona 5, and other PS2 games (as well as Skyrim... yes, still) claimed my attention pretty quickly. I'm playing right now, and I'm at SL 12 currently and I'm not seeing anyone, though... I hope that changes as I level up.
Waaaaahhhhhhhh.... *faints from excitement*
I have finally reached 999 hours on DS3 and maxed all traits to level 99. I think I am a DS-aholic. I have Mario Odyssey and haven’t even opened it yet. This series has ruined me. It’s so relaxing to play once you get buffed up and then start helping others...

Meh. If you own a PS4 or Xbox the switch is pretty useless unless you just love Zelda and Mario. No apps, no achievements or trophy’s. It needs some more work imo.

i really want the switch, but am gonna hold of until theres a full scale pokemon game for it. then it's game over for me and i'm never coming out of my room again.
I call it my video game museum. Started innocently rebuying old games I played or used to have for cheap. Next the ones I had always meant/wanted to and then that ballooned too as discovered other celebrated titles. Probably have around 250 games now going back to original NES days and I've played around half of them so far.

I own a PS4 and I don't give a fuck about trophies or achievements. I love my Switch so much. Everything I've wanted from a portable gaming system, which is how I've been using it the most.

I do love Mario and Zelda though.
yea after i beat those and got tired of mario cart just not much else going on. Splatoon is fun for about a week or on a lunch break and arms was fun for a day or two but then what is there? old skyrim? blurry Doom? nah. im sure in a year when they have more third party games it'll get better but even then why would i get a third party on switch when ps4/xbox will look better, have more content, and even though you dont give a fuck about them, most people do like acheivements. THis is why sony added trophies last gen.
Also with new apps for iphone and android I can stream PS4 to my phone and play with my DS4.
Switch is a nice piece of tech to supplement a xbox or ps4 but not a stand alone IMO. On the portable point i agree its the best out. Although the Vita is much more portable since i dont go everywhere with a backpack to hold the switch and carrying around a gamecase when i want to game on the go just feels like a burden and something to keep up with.
It may be worth it to wait on a Switch, but between Zelda, Mario (and Kart), the upcoming Xenoblade, a plethora of indie titles, and not the least the handheld options there's plenty of reason to have one. I love mine, and I own a PS4... give no shits about trophies either. I think Nintendo learned some lessons over the years about good 3rd party support, too. So along with the great Nintendo properties, this is likely to have more solid titles from other developers.

I kinda want a Switch and also almost pulled the trigger on a PSVR around Black Friday. But I know that I have way, way more games for both PS4 and my PC than I will ever have time to get through. I've got games still wrapped in plastic and some I never installed. One day maybe I'll get to them.
Switch does look fun though. Had a few coworkers buy them and everything I saw looks good.

I don't know how anyone who's played splatoon can say splatoon is fun for a week. I've enjoyed it more than any shooter since Halo.
It's also constantly getting new guns and maps, and has received one new game mode since launch, and will receive another new game mode this month. All free . Sure, the menus are a little rough around the edges, but the game play is top notch. And there is a learning curve because it isn't like any other shooter on the market. I understand getting frustrated with it, but give it more time.
I played Oxenfree when it was on sale earlier this year, and I really loved it. Great art design, good story, maybe a bit on the short side, but you could tell the developers really put their hearts into it. I'll have to check this new project out.

Getting rid of Watch Dogs 2, Skyrim Special Edition and Samurai Warriors 4 for PS4. If anybody wants to make an offer, hit me up. Figured it was worth a shot before I hit the Facebook Marketplace.
BTW, requirements for selling on Amazon now are cray. They want a copy of your driver's license and bank statement. I know it cuts down on scams but geez.

Finally picked up Horizon: Zero Dawn last week. Have put in just over 10 hours and this game is amazing so far. Took me a little while to get used to the fight mechanics, but now that I've gotten a hang of it it feels great. I was bouncing between getting this or Xenoblade Chronicles 2 with a Best Buy gift card, and hearing somewhat mixed reviews of Xenoblade make me want to wait a little bit and get it when the price drops.
Also, hell yes to Dark Souls Remastered, and double hell yes on it being available on the Switch! I hope the online works well.

Really like horizon. I bought it around Black Friday when it was on sale. Told myself I'd wait until I cleared out a few other games I was playing but had to start it up around holidays with a lot of time off. Really enjoying it.

I picked up a PS4 in November and it's on my shortlist. My PS4 is pretty much a VR machine at this point. Switch takes up the majority of my gaming. I don't think I've heard a single bad thing.
