Anyone play No Man's Sky? Since I just got it I've enjoyed the little bit I played but am confused by the star map and how to navigate that junk. Also, need more supplies for warp travel.

I played at launch but not since they've done all the updates. I'll probably buy it again as the reviews now seem great

I was surprised to not see some form of tribute to TotalBiscuit, so I wanted to put something here for him. When Starcraft 2 released, there was a massive swell of enthusiasm from folks like myself who grew up on the first and had long waited for something to show proper respect to the original. What we didn't know, that the WoW folks did know, was that there was a guy who would make the announcing of those matches substantially more interesting than they could have otherwise ever been. As esports matches became more and more visible, even sometimes finding their way onto some of the more questionable sports channels, it was hard to avoid the (at the time, unrefined yet clever) announcing done by TotalBiscuit. As the years went on his focus and contribution to a variety of aspects of the gaming community was more than just meaningful, and his very visible fight with cancer was something that developed into a source of inspiration for so many folks dealing with it themselves or the life of a loved one. His YT channel will remain a source of humor and insight for plenty. He stated on several interviews that he felt he was on borrowed time and I suppose if we all make it that long we can consider ourselves lucky. His wife put this up on his and her pages, I'll leave it here to conclude.
I see people speculating it won't be a regular fallout game but something else. We will see. I still want to get back to 4. I faded away from it and can't recall any of the story for where I was up to lol

Yeah, I don't think it will be a regular RPG either. Maybe a Sims type thing or online multi-player?
I never finished it either but that's pretty normal for me and Bethesda. THE dlcs were fun. I built an insane vault.
I still need to try Fallout 4. All of my friends love the series (especially Vegas) but I have yet to venture into the franchise. I need more hours in the day so that I can get my DS-time in as well as try new games.

I always seem to run into that same problem of wanting to explore, do side quests, and hoard items and then I get bored before I progress through the main story. I know I'm at a point where there are different factions who want to recruit me but I didn't know who I wanted to go with and want sure the when the cutoff point was (meaning when I have to make a decision).
That and the base building/protecting ate up some time. I did love the game and may fire it up tonight but it's huge

New Vegas is the best of the console games. I replayed part of it this Summer. Graphics are obvioully a little dated but the story is still very engaging. I always end up playing the factions against each other and going with anarchy. I mean it is the end of the world. "No gods, No masters" seems most appropriate.
All of them are worth it but 3 & 4 don't have quite the depth of story New Vegas reaches.
Fallout 4 is the best at just being a sandbox. You can fuck around for days at your first settlement before doing a main quest. But that can end up being a burden later...

Pretty sure it warns you when the point of no return is. One of them is when you choose who will help build the devise to travel to The Institute. You can still fuck everyone after that I'm pretty sure.
in other news i guess i have to get a Switch soon with all the new Pokemon announcements
Lots of people upset by those Pikachu and Eevee games, but I'm fine with them since new gen comes next year. Hoping I can convince my gf to play these new games since she loves Pokemon Go.

yeah i'd be annoyed as well if they didn't also announce the main series RPG coming in 2019, but since they did and i named my cat after one of the titles (Eevee) it'll be more than enough to hold me over until then. It also seems like it could make Pgo a lot less repetitive and give variety to the game.
I occasionally play pubg because some homies play it but we all complain that is terribly designed with near-game ruining glitches and flaws. I honestly want to move on over to Fortnite because it is just a much better developed game. (This is also based on xbox experience)
With that said:
FO76 HYPE!!! Im honestly happy they are taking a chance on a different style game which includes multiplayer. We'll know more in a few days.
