I hope the loot system in Ragnarok is a little more robust and rewarding than the previous game. Probably my only real disappointment in the first GOW was that upgrading armor didn't really have the same oomph that it does in a game like Destiny. Maybe the end-endgame stuff feels that way - I've only played through the story - but progressing through the game the ability upgrades were exciting and cool but the armor all kind of felt the same. I have some optimism that it will because if you've seen the making of documentary you know that God of War was actually pretty rushed, which is amazing because it is a genuine classic of its generation.
This doc is so much better than it has any right to be. It gets pretty deep into the interpersonal lives and emotions of the creators and the ripple effects of crunch.
very selfish thing for me to want but i really hope we get more PS5/next gen only games. Returnal, TLOU Remake, and Demons Souls are the most beautiful games ive ever played and theres no way they’d look that good if adjusted for PS4 and Xbox One. hopefully PS5 and Xbox Series S/X become more widely available soon

That doc might be the best "video game movie" ever made
What upcoming or recent games are yall planning on getting? I’m gonna grab Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3, Sonic Frontiers(PS5) and Crisis Core (PS5). Will probably end up getting Persona 5 along w 3/4 for switch once theyre all out and cheaper. For 2023 I’m gonna grab Dead Space remake (PS5), Kirby Return to Dreamland remake, and Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Maybe will get Forspoken and Pokemon Violet depending on user reviews

I've just been playing damn near everything that gets added to gamepass, at least for an hour or two. Though I just tried the Factorio demo and I might just waste a thousand hours on that one

I refuse to touch it, bc I WILL waste a thousand hours on it
I still want the new Mario Party. One of the new Pokémon remakes. Looking forward to the new Batman game and the new marvel game that got pushed to December. Besides that Hogwarts game whenever that drops lol.

For this year, mainly Callisto Protocol, Tunic for PlayStation, and of course both God of War and Plague Tale look great (though I need to play the previous games first). Next year, RE4 and Dead Space remakes, LoZ Tears of the Kingdom (still need to play BotW), Hogwarts Legacy, both the Texas Chainsaw and Killer Klowns from Outer Space games, Suicide Squad, Pikmin 4, the port of that Kirby game for the Wii, and whatever indie games come.

Beyond hyped for this! The original is an all time favorite, felt the same way I did back in 2004 when I watched this trailer. Total love letter to fans. I'm very tempted to buy a PS5 for this, Silent Hill 2 remake, and Final Fantasy 16.
Looks like the new Batman game is a stinker. Hate to see it. Guess I’m going to get Mario + Rabbids 2 now but I need to finish Ghosts of Tsushima first though.

Hell yea. I believe it was my first M-rated game. My mom didn't let me watch any R-rated movies, listen to any explicit CDs (Walmart edited CDs ftw), nor play any M-rated games up until I became a teenager.
RE is one of my favorite franchises too. I would actually love to see them remake 5 and even 6 in this darker lens...but with the appropriate amount of cheese, too.

Wow did we have the same mom? I think my first M rated game was Metal Gear Solid 3 which was probably only a month or two before RE4 came out. My mom totally lost it when I sneakily bought my first explicit CD which I think was Up The Bracket by The Libertines.
Are 5 and 6 worth revisiting? I lost interest after playing the demo for 5 and just continued to replay 4 over and over. The RE2 and 3 remakes have really gotten me back into the franchise in a big way, Capcom is definitely up there in the best developers/publishers of all time list.
i just couldn’t get into resident evil 1(remake pc) but im gonna try again to do 1-3 before this remake comes out, and do the rest of the series after. also gonna do silent hill 1 before the 2 remake comes out. Gotta put my PS5 to use. almost done with Live a Live, in the middle of the Last of Us Remake, and starting Ghost of Tsushima after

Brother...?
But for real, that's hilarious xD To be honest, it made me much more sensitive to gore/blood at an older age. Though now I just laugh when there's excessive blood and gore, decapitations, etc., so it worked out.
Everyone swears 5's co-op mode is worth a play; I only played by myself when it released in 2009. I'd say check it out and see what you think. I avoided 6, but may even give it a shot one day.
RE2 and RE3 remakes are amazing, of course. 3 received some slack, but I still enjoyed it. With all the modern Resident Evil success, the titanic Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter's hopeful revitalization with VI, Capcom has entered a lovely renaissance.

I recently played RE 1 remake for the first time. The fixed camera put me off for the longest time, but I quickly got used to it and found it eerily effective in ramping up the horror and tension. The game feels dated compared to the more modern RE 2 and 3 remakes, but the presentation itself holds up incredibly well for a remaster of a 20-year remake (awkward Jill boob jiggle physics aside). I did use a guide to help me whenever I got stuck; I don't know how I played PS1-era games back in the day and figured any of these puzzles out.

Got the new Ghostbusters game on PS5. It seems like it's kind of like some of those horror games where there's a killer and 4 team members but in this case it's 4 Ghostbusters and 1 ghost. You can choose to play as ghost or buster. Still going through tutorial now but if anyone on here ends up getting it at any point and wants to play lmk. I'm a sucker for all things ghostbuster
