So have all you press pass type people heard back yet? I'm still waiting....
Talked to Crissa about that today actually.
She confirmed us a bit ago, but she said that there was a problem with the database and that it's going to take a little while longer on some of the emails. Expect them this week.

Cool, thanks for letting me know. I've had traffic from a media application site as recently as yesterday, so I hadn't given up hope.
Definitely do not understand the Florabama hype. That place sucks and is normally packed full of rednecks. Still have bad memories involving the annual Mullet Toss there from like 1999 or 2000.
The Flora-Bama is the Flora-Bama no matter what night you go!
Seriously, if anyone is interested in an Inforoo meetup PM me your cell number, what night would be good for you and where you are staying. I will be in Bear Point Marina in Orange Beach and we can all meet there or another central location depending on where you guys want to go. Sounds like a lot of us are skipping WSP...that might be a good time or we'll figure it out!
Can't wait for MAY!!! ;D
PM sent....I cannot wait either 3 more weeks! I hear Flora-bama is a must see while down there.

I thought that was part of the draw...growing up in WV it will be like a little taste of back home

We are still waiting as well... I emailed them and the response was basically that they haven't sent out all confirmation emails yet, and if you filled out the application, you will hear something either way. Hope this helps.

Have any of you received your tickets or print passes? I got an email a while back saying that they would be sending them out late March and haven't heard anything since.

Yeah I was wondering about this too. I just went and reread that email and it said sent out (email and mail) 30-45 days out.
We're sitting at about 3 weeks out. Nothing to get worried about, but glad I'm not the only one wondering.

I received an email from an unofficial Hangout board's admin saying that the schedule should be out within a couple of days and that we should have tickets in hand by the end of the month.

Motorhead and Justin Townes Earle have been added to the lineup chart if you're interested in seeing where they placed them.
I'm going to revise my earlier scheduling prediction. Bassnectar, Motorhead, and Girl Talk are all 4th billed on their respective days. It wouldn't shock me to see all 3 play last on the 3rd stage - that's the slot Girl Talk got last year anyway. That would mean Bassnectar vs. MMJ, Motorhead vs. Flaming Lips, Girl Talk vs. The Black Keys.

LMAO! That is the whole point! Like I said...if you have never done it...you HAVE to experience it at least ONCE! I have never been down for the mullet toss...too crowded and crazy. But as I said...the Flora-Bama is the Flora-Bama no matter when you go. Some times are just more crowded than others...for those who DON'T know it is a total dive bar/package store on the Florida/Alabama state line and its main claim to fame is that Kenny Stabler is part owner. And Jimmy Buffet and other famous people pop in and out. There are about 4 bars in the place...the beach deck is by far my favorite (if I have one!) Expect rednecks, bikers, hipsters and beach bums and LOTS of tourists types! But worth experiencing at least once in your life? Oh yeah!
Taken from the PDF, so don't biznatch at me about the colors being off, it has to be to print right.
Good interview. He's right about Paul Simon, it's great for the festival and its reputation that they have such an exclusive, much loved headliner. I'm surprised he was so candid about the overlaps, but it doesn't sound like there's much they could do. If everybody is keeping their lineups hush-hush, you might as well go after The Black Keys and My Morning Jacket and hope for the best. That's even more true the further you go down the lineup - it's basically a given that MMJ is going to be at Bonnaroo, but you can't really count on Primus or especially someone like Portugal. The Man to be there.

Thanks man, I try to walk the line between letting the person give out their general information and promote their album/festival, etc. and asking questions that message board trolls such as ourselves want to know the answer to.
I am a HUGE Paul Simon fan, so that was fun to hear him talk about.
I want to just take the time to say that I feel very blessed this year with festivals. If you'd asked me last year to name two artists I would have loved to see, I kid you not, I would have said Paul Simon and Buffalo Springfield.
He was also nice enough to assure me that Primus and the FLips wouldn't conflict.
I'm pretty excited about this festival. It's my first big non-Bonnaroo fest. So, it's my first festival where I won't smell terrible by Saturday...ladies.
Alabama folks......my old lady and I are arriving Thursday and staying until Tuesday.....anything we should check out around that way with our extra time? Cool record shops? Museums? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I just recently went for a long weekend. Here are some places I'd recommend to eat or that others usually do.
Lulu's - It's a touristy place kind of like The Hangout. It's owned by Jimmy Buffet's sister and plays his music all the time, has a good, laid back beach vibe. It's on the bay so people just cruise up in their boats and come in and eat. They usually have live music. And Jimmy's been known to stop by. I'd recommend the buffalo chicken quesadilla and locally grown fried green tomatoes.
The Hangout - I mean the place to eat, not just the music festival. Similar to Lulu's, but you gotta see their Pez and tin lunch box collection in the lobby. Sweet. And you can play foosball, ping-pong, and some other stuff on free outside tables while you wait.
Lamberts - They throw rolls at you, apple butter, all-you-can-eat sides, huge sweet teas...but lots of people that love to eat a lot of food all at once.
Sea-N-Suds - Right on the beach so it's a pretty good view, cheap greasy bar food, good pina coladas (I take 'em virgin, but still delicious).
Hazel's Nook - Good breakfast place that has a made to order omelet bar.

I'm impressed with their conflict management mojo. My only big conflict is Galactic VS. the Black Keys. I've seen Galactic, so I'm pretty sure I know where I'll be (unless TBK somehow sucks live).
Edit: Scratch that... Flaming Lips VS. Motorhead VS. Rival Sons (Led Zeppelin, basically). Not sure what I'll do.
