i'm very interested in how they are gonna pull this off with 35k. last year with only 15k there was lots of room, lots. But the boardwalk was a mess with bad layouts of vending and food. alot of people used that for between stage routes. shortest way is beach walk, but man one beach stage to another in that sand all trashed is pretty slow.
one entrance sucks. it was a pretty small one last year. really worried about that.
but they seem to have their act together. i think i heard less vending? i hope so because inside festival vending kinda sucks and was just in the way. hope they plan better for 35k people with the porto pottys.
i'm sure they will put on a great fest again. i keep telling my friends this will be the fest i make it to EVERY year if they keep it up. we got a condo .4 miles away for 99nt this time. he didnt even know about the fest. i told him if we like it just to keep our deposit for next year. i'm sure he will catch on some time and raise the rates.
i'm not one to ever need to go vip at fests, but i'm thinking about it next year. ill wait till i see the pool setup.

It looks like they're making much more use of the beach area between the two main stages, so that should help with the crowds. That space was empty last year.
I'm not positive, but based on the map it looks like there might be a boardwalk on the ocean side near the main stage. That would help a ton.
it looks like they might have put some of the vending they had last year off the board walk/ main route down on the sand hopefully. walking between the main stages killed me in that sand. you usually walk the beach down by the water where its not 8in soft sand.
but the worse thing i can bitch about is have to walk barefoot too far in beautiful soft white sand. its gonna be a tough weekend!
Agreed! If the worst I have to endure is walking in soft sugar sand between stages I will be in heaven! ;D
As for the Keg...OMG! That is RIGHT down the road from my parents place in Orange Beach! I have never had the nerve to even go IN there....seriously?? I know it's one of the local hangouts but...YIKES! I will only go with a group!
I live in Tuscaloosa and never even thought about this thing selling out. My gf's mom has some serious health issues so she can't go. The problem? I committed to a condo months ago. I can't just tell the other couple that they now have to pay for the whole thing.
So from what I see, my options are
A) Pay for half of a friggin' condo in Gulf Shores and not use it B) Sell some crack to afford a ticket C) Find someone with an extra ticket that didn't get a condo lined out....
So... if you are a guy or a couple (Yeah, that's weird but I won't HAVE a girlfriend if she finds out I let some random girl crash in my room) and you have an extra ticket and need a place to stay... PM me and maybe we can make this work.
I took some random guy to 'roo a few years ago (back when I lived in Missouri) for gas money. I think I found him on here. Maybe it will come back around.
Haven't posted in a while and noticed I have -2 awesome points. Just wanted to reassure you I am, in fact, awesome. I made some folks mad in a thread about the best bonnaroo by claiming 02 was the best just because it was so unbelievable it was happening. Check out my post history to see if what I said was out of line. I don't think so.

Bamabelle- Nothing to worry about @ the Keg. Swampmeet parties after Panic Wharf shows there were killer. My buddies Zoogma played there after the last Wharf WSP show. The front of the place is different from the back, had a lot of locals and rednecks etc, but the back outside had huge rager going on. There will be a ton of gas at these aftershows if that kind of thing interests you

I promise I'm a cool guy if anybody wants to meet up at the shows. Kinda nervous about driving down and doing a couple days of the festival by myself (can't make it on friday) but I just can't miss some of these acts.
OK, so does ANYBODY know ANYONE in need of a hotel room from Fri-Mon? I pre-paid for it & they're adamant about the no-cancellation policy. Some friends offered to let me stay in their condo in Gulf Shores, but now I'm stuck with a hotel room (2 queen beds) in Foley, about 14mi away. Yeah, not prime lodging, but for somebody who might be camping outdoors, it's got comfier beds & nice hot showers! Shoot me a PM if you or anyone you know needs it. Thanks!

Good to know! I see what goes IN the door there...but haven't actually had nerve to go IN there! LOL! I might have to check it out this time. Sounds a lot like the Flora Bama....just smaller and more local! Which is ALWAYS a good thing!
