We know that you are excited to find out the 2011 Hangout Music Festival lineup. We were planning to announce a great lineup today, but late late late last night, we were given the opportunity to make it even better. The only catch is that now we have to wait until Tuesday before we can announce.
We really appreciate your interest and support for Hangout. Last night’s development is worth the wait. We are not delaying the party, just the announcement. We look forward to rocking out with you this summer and providing you with an unforgettable festival experience.
Thanks for your understanding, Shaul Zislin & A.J. Niland Hangout Music Festival

This is my first post here, been following this thread waiting for announcements/rumors.
As frustrating as today's delay is, I can see why they pushed it back. If they made a nearly full lineup announcement today then waited til Tuesday to reveal one of the main headliners, it might look even sloppier. It could even look like they were trying to but a band aid on a weak lineup due to weaker than expected ticket sales.
That being said, if they found out last night they should have probably let us know a lot sooner. I would have been much more productive today....
I'm assuming the new act is bigger than the Lips, since they weren't even one of the big 3 headliners before last year's cancellation. Honestly, I'm hoping for something left field. I would be interested to hear how this happened. If the lineup was ready for release yesterday, I would assume that meant they had used up their budget. Maybe it's a big enough act that they figured it was worth it?

ALL Hangout attendees will be invited to lounge at Hammock Beach, a refreshing salt-water lagoon where music lovers will find shade, palm trees, hammocks, and art installations. Look up from your hammock, and you’ll see the Skybar tower, a structure built specifically for Hangout with views of the festival and a place to purchase cold beverages.

I've heard rumors about Phish for a while and a few people and people keep shooting that idea down for what it's worth. I'm never on PT or any other Phish board so I just assume they know b better than the person I heard that rumor from.
Could these phish rumors really be the reason for the delay? I've just marked them off and ignored all the talk for a while now. Do the festival organizers have a special relationship with the phish people? I'm skeptical but what other acts have enough clout that the hangout would endure such a negative PR hit.
So did Panic confirm for Summercamp today because Phish signed on last minute for Hangout? Just throwing that out there.
That would be kind of funny considering the ridiculous Panic v. Phish vitriol that's been going down on the Hangout's Facebook page. I personally don't care if either of them are there.
