I dunno about the bloody mary. Kooky Canuck has a full bar, I would imagine they can whip something up. Gus's only serves beer to my knowledge, and I think Rendevous serves beer and wine.
Getting downtown early and securing a parking space in a garage that isn't inhabited by homeless people who defecate in the elevators / stairwells is definitely on my list of things to do as well.
I will only go to a place that serves wine or liquor.... I don't like sushi or red meat, or any kind of meat on the bone. Other than that I'm not picky.....
Hueys has won the "best burger in memphis" award since like 1987 or something. Plus, you can shoot toothpicks into the ceiling. The hueys on second is about a block away from where I intend to park.
So are we gonna organize a meetup at hueys sunday?

Yeah lets's meet at Hueys I'm not sure what time we arrive but apparently druid wants to leave really early! We will not be at Wilco though.... Godsmack will be calling our names
It's me and Dreamingtree now on Sunday. Julie bailed on me for her nephew's something or other. I stopped listening after "not coming".
Hey now, it's his fifth birthday party! I missed his birthday party last year because of the damned flood (FTR, he mentions my absence on a regular basis! Kids remember that kind of stuff) so I cannot miss this year.

It sounds like you have aspirations of being the "cool hippie aunt that went to woodstock" type of aunt.
BTW, the weather for the weekend looks nice, but with all the rain we are getting, it may be wise for anyone who is coming to invest in some good quality rubber shit kickers. If it gets much worse though, you may need to bring some arm floaties and a snorkel.

^ Fest said bring a rowboat & banjo and float right up to the stages. Louisville is flooding now, up-river. Mostly sunny though means mostly great news! No one minds a few sprinkles. How's the parking? Is there still a lot across from the Orpheum Theatre and a parking garage near that?
Sorry, I saw your post, and meant to respond, but I was too busy getting a joke in.
I saw Styx at the Orpheum late last year (pretty friggin awesome show, BTW), and we parked in a big parking lot like right across the street I believe. So as of <6 months ago, yes, there is still parking by the orpheum.
I plan to park at 2nd and Madison. Ill have a little ways to walk, but it should be easier to get out.

^ Big-ass vodka-pomagranite for you! So, is anyone else going in Fri/Sat?? Where are you folks staying? We're in a super-crappy Super 8 by Graceland, but it's $60 a nite with free breakfast & a shuttle to the fest. We hope to cram 6 people in a room with one queen, at least until we are caught. Good times ahead. And the weather looks better & better!
