Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
ugh but who can deal with the crowd at that show... I tried twice... never again. especially now that 2 members left the band and started the young veins, who were at roo last year and very pleasant
Please god. We need to stop before these Panic at the Disco theories get out of hand. Sure, they're better than Fallout Boy, but that's like saying shitting your pants is better than throwing up all over yourself, it may be true but both are still pretty bad.
That being said, I think the Coachella lineup pretty much all but confirms Scissor Sisters.
This is not a critique, just saying Gary Chardonnay asked us to play nice, if we want him to continue his help. Just saying.
I wasn't trying to hate on anyone or be a dick at all, except towards Fallout Boy and Panic at the Disco. I don't think Gary will take offense to that...

Of course, and I understand fully. But, Gary made a request of us. Maybe he was talking about posts involving the new DJ? I don't know. I do know we sure need some help with these clues and he's been willing. Don't want him to change his mind.
I thought he was referencing the bashing of Katie because he asked us to play nice and then explained that Katie doesn't know the answers to the clues so we shouldn't give her such a hard time. Either way, sorry if my comment ruffled your feathers, Gary, although I still stand by my PATD hate, watch this and disagree with me:

I think that is every artist/band guessed in the thread. Our shortest clue thread and we have that many guesses haha, let's get to eliminating some of them
That cover really isn't the worst thing of all time.
Different strokes for different folks, I suppose. I can't stand that dudes voice and him changing "mess with us" to "fuck with us" is super obnoxious, I think.

Good list. I took the liberty of fixing the handful of spelling errors (I am a bit anal about weird things like that >_>).
Cut Copy - New album out Feb 8th, touring through the end of April Paul Simon - New album "So Beautiful Or So What", Spring 2011, dates unknown? Simon and Garfunkel - Toured last year, canceled numerous dates due to Art's vocal paresis Scissor Sisters - Album came out just after Roo last year, touring into April Leonard Cohen - Just finished an exhausting 2 year tour in which he played 246 shows. Seems unlikely. Barenaked Ladies - Album last March, not many tour dates for 2011 yet. Wool - Disbanded! Phoenix - No 2011 dates scheduled (and I think I read that they are in the studio) Bela Fleck - Album out this year at some point, tour date gap between 6/5 (South Carolina) and 6/11 (Ohio) seems to indicate that the Flecktones will be on the farm, but relevance to clue? No idea Harper Simon - No album or shows upcoming Amy Winehouse - Still a golly gee trainwreck Stevie Nicks - Touring with Rod Stewart currently. If it's a package deal eff that. Incubus - In the studio recording an album which might be out in 2011. No tour dates, really Black Eyed Peas - Album last year, big tour planned later this year, I think, but no dates yet. (Except the Super Bowl halftime show >_>). Don't seem like a likely act for the farm, either... Drive by Truckers - Album out next month, tour dates into mid May Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Album last year, playing numerous festivals throughout the spring The Emotron - ???? Eric Coleville Band - ???? Freddie and the Screamers - ???? The Flametrick Subs - ???? The New Pornographers - Their website doesn't have any dates listed, but I'm fairly sure they still have some dates in the first quarter of 2011... They are at Coachella though. The Frames - Back together, but not really doing much. Andrew Bird - Nothing too recent, only a couple dates so far for 2011 Bright Eyes - Album out next month, touring through April at least. Gnarls Barkley - Cee Lo is out touring for his album. Unlikely. Linkin Park - They have a new album, right? I'm not gonna bother to see if they are touring because they probably will not end up on the farm >_> Julia Sheer - ???? Third Eye Blind - Recording an album, some dates in Feb and March Ringo Starr - No album, no tour dates X- Ray Spex - Disbanded! RHCP - Recording, not likely to play many gigs in 2011 Girl Talk - New album just out, touring throughout the spring. Seems highly possible for Roo this year. Crobar Cane -???? Die Antwoord - They are doing Big Day Out, but nothing after that. The White Stripes - Nothing planned, but The Kills, QotSA, and The Greenhornes are all doing their own thing, which leaves Jack White without the Dead Weather or the Raconteurs. .. David Bowie - Is he touring? I couldn't find anything. Florence and the Machine - Another album this year, no dates scheduled except for two in late June Thin Lizzy - Pretty sure there's nothing going on in this camp Fall Out Boy - Skipping this on principal The Killers - Brandon Flowers is touring solo. Lady Gaga - Always going. Phish - Also always going Destroyer - Touring for his new album throughout the spring Snow - lol Pink - also lol Flo - I don't know what this is. Venetian Snares - This was a joke-ish answer I made to point out that you can connect almost any artist to most of the clues if you try hard enough. Fleet Foxes - Recording their second album (still), website says 2011 dates are "Coming soon!" The Ventures - Dates into February... at Busch Gardens. Vanessa Paradis - No idea. Weird Al - Working on a new album, touring Australia in March smurf Dale - A few dates in early 2011 Electric Apricot - Ehhhhh Blue Oyster Cult - They have a date in PA on 6/11. Also I don't think this is really a reasonable guess. Here We Go Magic - Album last year. No real tour dates that I could find The Blood Brothers - Disbanded! Panic at the Disco - Again, skipping it on principal.

Boom.
Nice Work I was gonna try to work on part of it when I got home but ya beat me too it lol. So that leaves 29 possibilities

29 seems like a lot, but we can still knock off a bunch more. I probably could've crossed out Andrew Bird, The Frames, maybe a couple of others who don't appear to have anything going on, plus there are all those ???? ones that I don't know / couldn't quickly find anything about.
I was there in 08' too. Totally agree Kanye sucks, I was chillin at Phil Lesh & friends when thier set got cut short. Bummed me out, the vibe there was pretty close to perfect! Kanye totally spoiled the moment. I mean if he was going to perform that's cool, but why cut someone else's set short? As stated, Kanye sucks!

I think it would be funny if everyone at Coachella showed up 4 hours late for Kanye's slot, then blogged about it when they got home blaming it on Arcade Fire and got SO MAD THEY ALMOST BROKE THEIR MACBOOK AIRS!
I'm still glad my guess of Florence & The Machine has made it to this list of 29!!! I wasn't even biased... honestly. But at this point I'd be kinda glad for any of these. I don't have time to research and cut more bands but good job everybody!
I think someone who has some knowledge about the artists I blanked on should endeavor to either rule them out or rule them in.
Also, I did tweet GC earlier this evening asking if I had the right answer in the right group or not. If he answers, we'll be in good shape, since we still aren't sure about anything else.
