I saw the Family Values tour in 1999! No Incubus, add Ice Cube. Was awesome except for the fact I was completely scarred by Rammstein's performance of gimps and "pissing" on the crowd. ???
That was still the '98 tour. Ice Cube couldn't do that last few dates fer some reason so Incubus was brought on ta finish the tour. So jealous you got a full set from Rammstein! And they weren't "pissing" on the crowd, it was a stream of fake ejaculate durin' the song "Buck Dich" I bet!
Perhaps, but that is why I put pissing in quotes. Not sure what it was, but it was disturbing...and then they started setting equipment on fire. ...and I don't speak German. Just a frightful situation!

Kiss, Slaughter, and Danger Danger in 1989. Hot in the Shade tour. Kiss was great and it was Eric Carr's last tour before he died. Danger Danger was stupid and fun like a hair band should be. Slaughter was awful and the worst thing I'd ever seen in concert until somewhere in the early 2000's when I saw Danzig. Mark Slaughter came out dressed like Pocahontas and kind of stumbled around muttering for the entire show. One song in the entire crowd was chanting "We want Kiss" and didn't stop until they left.
Mine was Bob Dylan/Brian Setzer Orchestra in Birmingham 1999. I was 17 at the time, I got a late start to my concert going career, but the show was a lot of fun.
My first paid concert was Smashing Pumpkins doing a surprise show at a tiny venue, Feb 14 2000. It was awesome.
wow everybody is so young I feel slightly dated here.... Well get ready to be jealous because my first concert was Pink Floyd's The Wall at Nassau Coliseum in 1980 I was 12...to date still the best spectacle/show I have ever seen and there have been hundreds and hundreds. also that year I saw Sabbath/BOC, SImon and Garfunkel (Central Park), Tom Petty, and The Kinks . I think that was it for 1980 so long ago
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."

First show from my mom: The Badleys in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was a small outdoor thing and she let me play hooky from school to attend. I was 5 and in kindergarten. Nobody even remembers them but it was great! And I still have a piece of the tambourine they smashed; yes, they were that hardcore haha.
First show from my dad: The Monkees!!! We even drove our '67 VW bus to the show. Soon after The Beach Boys in our '49 Dodge Meadowbrook.

My dad was in a band and both my parents are very into music, so I have been to hundreds of concerts. I probably saw a lot of really cool bands back then, I just don't remember them all. I couldn't say what my first was. The first concert I believe I MADE my mom take me to was Spice Girls (don't judge...) when I was 11 I think. The first concert I drove myself to was Warped Tour '03.
First technical concert was "Weird Al" Yankovic at a state fair in Wisconsin in 1996, I was 12.
First concert I paid ta go see was the first Family Values Tour (feat. Orgy, Incubus, Limp Bizkit, Rammstein, and KoRn) on 31.Oct.1998 which started my love affair with live music. I was 14.
Yeah Motherf*in right dawg! That show was the sickness.

First concert? I was 11, 6th grade, and my 19 year old aunt took me to see Loverboy, With Night Ranger opening at Municipal Auditorium,Nashville, 1982.
First concert I got to go to with friends? A year later(give or take -1983), Kiss - Creatures Of the Night Tour, same venue. Man, I've seen sooooo many shows at that place.
New Kids on the Block. Early 90's. My dad bought my sister tickets and said if I have to go so do you.
My first was also New Kids on the Block! They were at the state fair when I was 7 or 8ish. My dad took me, my sister and brother. It was awesome - other than almost being stampeded by angry teenie-boppers.
My parents are both bluegrass musicians/fanatics so I went to many bluegrass festivals in the early 1980s; even got meet mr. bluegrass himself : Bill Monroe.
First show for me and my friends; Cheap Trick, Gainesville, FL 1982...the beginning of my lifelong obsession with live music!
1969 Grand Funk Railroad, the original opening act cancelled, we didn't know who was gonna fill in , and out of the blue, pink smoke filled the stage..... I was amazed, and that is how it started, the love of live music.
