Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
If this begins to sound like an infomercial...it is. Soapman writing from Purple Moon Farm in Yellow Springs, OH. We just recieved our contract for Bonnaroo Vending. We will be set up in the campground vending area (near one of the pods??).
Whatever your preferred method of bathing, good soap will make a big difference. We will be vending my homemade "Hempworks of Amsterdam" brand soaps. (as seen at the Cannabis Cup 1999-2010, KushCon II, Comfest, etc). All natural, organic soaps, bursting with essential oils for a fresh aroma.
Raven will also be there with henna designs and fresh pre-made henna paste.
This will be our 1st Bonnaroo and we are really stoked for it. Stop by and check us out! Look for the purple canopy.

I think I'mma cut my hair short for easy 'roo cleaning. Other than that, baby wipes! I couldn't ever justify paying 7 dollars for a shower. I'll tell ya what, I've used the shower stalls after Roo has ended while volunteering, small and NASTY. Other peoples hair in the drain? Skeeves me out worse than never getting a shower. I have a baby hose and attachment I think I'm going to use at the troughs, but I had the same problem as mentioned with the mud pits surrounding them. I'm thinking clean up at the troughs, then half fill a bucket (small, the kind you use to mop the floor) with water, and clean my tootsies? could work..
I noticed in past years that everyone lines up for showers in the morning. The problem I discovered was that its so quacking hot that your sweaty again by the time you walk back to your campsite. Last year my group waited to shower untill later in the day or early evening. This had two benefits, 1 there were no lines to get into the showers at that time and 2 you were completely refreshed for the night / late night shows. usually I would wash up in the mornings using a wash cloth & melted ice water from my cooler that I poured into a bucket and let warm up in the heat for an hour. That would get me through until the evening shower.

Hey there - driving in from the Beavercreek area! I'll definitely look for your vendor stand...love Yellow Springs!
Great if you can stop by. In past years, we have always been at the Yellow Springs Street Fair which is always 2nd Saturday. YS is a cool place to hang out and street fair is always a such a tye-dye freak show. But this year, we said "Quack it! We are taking the patchouli soap to Bonaroo !! We have a new felted bar on a rope, scrub and soap together. Raven will have plenty of strong fresh henna paste.
I'll stick to freezing ice water from the cooler to fill my portable camp shower.
I don't care how hot it is at Bonnaroo, I can't stand cold showers!
even with free volunteer showers, in the rare event they have warm water left, i always turn the warm off when im done and get a blast of freezing cold shower for as long as i can stand... quite a refreshing experience actually
Belgians are clean! I insist on taking one shower a-day. I'm guessing this will be no problem at Roo?
Haha. This reminds me of a friend who has never been to Roo. he says that one of his biggest fears at Roo is not being able to shower as much as he would like. The idea of not showering for 4 days terrifies him.
I'm a clean freak too and shower every morning no matter what. I even take a bath every night too but that's more to just escape from the kids and read.
But last year I was really worried about not showering but I surprisingly did really well. I think the excitement of everything toned down my feelings about it. We just used a ton of baby wipes and we also built a shower (someone gave instructions to it last year on here) and it worked great. I did try to go use the shower facilities one morning but the line was so long there was no way I was going to wait and waste time.
We did stop at a hotel on Wed night and Sun night (we didn't stay for the closer as we didn't care). So it was nice to get that shower at the last min Thurs morning then take one late Sun night. My husband and I were laughing at all the brown water in the shower that night from all the dust that last day!

I don't shower at Roo historically, but that may change this year due to being in an RV. I tell everyone that your first shower post-Roo will be the best shower of your year and will rank up there on best all time.
This is the shower we built. It was super easy, worked great and lasted the whole weekend. We sat it on the roof of our truck and just used it between the vehicles.

And it really was! I came out feeling like a million bucks. Sorry to that shower and hotel cleaning staff in Nashville, baby wipes only do so much on your dusty feet!
I'm not sure on times, but pretty sure showers were open early morning til evening. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I only used it twice last year and once before gates opened (volunteered) and then on Monday before heading home.
My favorite is the Magic Bullet one that has the old lady in a house coat with a hang over and a cigarette hanging out of her mouth.
I laugh my ass off whenever she says "dinner's always a production"
leftover cooler water/peppermint Bronner's works wonders! and that first shower after roo was so magical... I got home at 4am more exhausted than I had ever been in my entire life.. turned the shower on full blast and started scrubbing and cackling. all by myself in the shower, laughing and grinning ear to ear as the water turned to mud and wiggling my newly soft toesies. it's so elating! roo is the gift that keeps on giving
