Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Lol Karen you are gonna recommend a greyhound where people have been murdered by men with machetes over a bus that's insured twice !? And goes as close as possible to the festival and will possibly have shuttle privileges as of tomorrow? Lol
Karen you're child is going to end up the kid that never tries anything in his life with your controlling and manipulative attitude. My word of advice as a "kid" is to stay out of your child endeavors as he will always have momma Karen on his conscious... No one likes a negative Nancy.
It's the microtel it's about 40 minutes away. Yeah I'm starting to see that it might not be possible for the bus to come back. I'm going back and forth with the bonnaroo folks about the shuttle pass trying to sort it out... Almost there
I also have gotten some tips from different sources on back roads etc so trying to sort that as well apparently some will take you 5 minutes away from the entrance.
The microtel??? As in it's located in Chattanooga or Nashville? Ha!!! So the crucial service provider for this trip has a 40 minute drive to his passengers. You want strangers to give you 200 hundred dollars and believe in you and that's what you are providing for the most important members of your venture.
You are just now starting to see how things might not be possible but you've been pimping your bus for around 2 weeks. You've been asking for people's trust and you can't back anything up. Absolutely nothing. It's all the people at Bonnaroo's fault for not getting back to you.
You are getting tips from sources???? HOLY GOD! Why haven't the people on this board ever given me the secret back roads. They must know them. Actually, why don't I know them???? I only live about 15 minutes away from where your bus drivers are possible staying.
Again: Lurkers and newbies. DO NOT give this guy a cent. I noticed that almost all of the people who have bought tickets have never been to Roo. Hope you guys make it OK.
What does it matter where the drivers are staying?
No, see now you're just being rude. I don't appreciate that when I have said time and again that the idea is good, it's your execution of it that needs work. It's not your fault. You are planning something that you know nothing about. I have tried to give as much advice as possible and I believe you have said it was good advice. But you also continue to be arrogant, and just rude.
There will be no apology from me. Mainly because if it weren't for the people on this board you would have never even done half of the research or work as you are right now.
If it weren't for me and a few others you would just be selling tickets and promising people things that are impossible. It's because of us that you made contact with anyone. And it's because of us that you even began to look at the logistics of a festival that you know nothing about.
So if this project of yours doesn't fail I will be waiting for a thank you.
Karen you're child is going to end up the kid that never tries anything in his life with your controlling and manipulative attitude. My word of advice as a "kid" is to stay out of your child endeavors as he will always have momma Karen on his conscious... No one likes a negative Nancy.
Just a little of information for you. I have three kids. They have actually been to Bonnaroo so they have one up on you as far as knowledge about Bonnaroo goes.
Lol you just provided advice about nothing directly correlated to the actual arrival, besides the fact that the entrance is far and it's a brutal walk, and take a greyhound instead. How would I thank you when you are sitting online and telling people not to trust me, calling me a kid, and talking shit about a trip you don't plan on attending? And adding fuel to the fire when everything is "open" and I'm not trying to coerce or manipulate anyone instead you do that!
I'm just sharing advice... People ask me how I churn out so many successful projects and it stems from my parents hands off approach to my life. I started my first biz at 13, then at 17 I started another successful biz and paid for college. All because my parents never got involved once in my affairs and let me get burned if that what was going go happen. A negative approach is the easiest one to take. The opulent and positive one, that ultimately leads to success is the hardest meme to conjure up, at least for me. I have a friend whom I call NAGheim and he use to work as my bookkeeper at the market.... When he was there berating us for our losses and the fact that we were loosing money on the operation nothing got better, as soon as I told him to look for employment elsewhere and he left..... Two months later we were in the black.... You know what I found out he was doing by reviewing the cameras and talking to employees? He would go around talking shit to all of my employees in the AM before I got in because I was working till 11 pm and programming till 4 am and I would have him open up so he would go air all the business out to my staff and spreading the cancer... What you are doing will never ever help any project... Ever...

First, you really going to go at a mother regarding the way she brings up her kid? You stay classy.
Second, wtf are you talking about with machete murders on Greyhound? And regardless, do you plan on doing background checks on every person that comes on your bus, or are you going to pat them down for weapons?
Your bus plan may work, it may not. Regardless, you come off like a pompous, arrogant, classless dickhole who can't for some reason fathom that not everyone is going to bend over and kiss your genius because you managed to start up an internet company that is basically the Yellow Pages just for laundromats.
That's your opinion... You use one example of a project, which happens to be a recent one, but I also manage own or maintain over a dozen others.... Online and offline.
I don't want to name drop either but I sit on the advisory board of two non profit orgs who operate in 29 states and 14 countries.... Somehow I manage to retrofit rural African villages that no one has ever heard of with solar energy, new water wells (solar based), and textbooks.... And I've never been to Africa, holly Mollie I must use black magic right?
This sounds like the biggest clusterquack in the history of transportation. Its pretty much common sense that noone should take a gamble on this however when left with zero options I suppose desperation sets in and you tend to throw common sense out the window. This person has never been to ROO. I know nothing about nuclear reactors, you dont see me offering solutions to Japan. These important details you are just now figuring out are things that shouldve been thought of way in advance.
And so you dont think Im just some random troll coming into your thread (and apparently credentials are supposed to override common sense in this case) I went to school for logistics, graduated with a concentration in logistics, and now work in one of the largest logistics/supply chain/transportation companies in the world. This is kinda my thing, what I do everyday; my "professional" opinion if you will. As said before...good idea, poor execution. You need to spend this year experiencing the festival yourself. And start planning for next year. I think you will find its not as easy as just pulling a bus up and dropping people off. Also anyone handing this guy money ask for a contract that will fully refund your money in the event that one of the numerous things that are going to go wrong, go wrong.

How would I thank you when you are sitting online and telling people not to trust me, calling me a kid, and talking Leno about a trip you don't plan on attending? And adding fuel to the fire when everything is "open" and I'm not trying to coerce or manipulate anyone instead you do that!

You're not sharing advice, you're bragging about your accomplishments and offering a ham-fisted analysis that it's all because you eliminated negative vibes from your business. The fact that you can't see that through your arrogance is astounding, you completely lack self-awareness and it's somewhat mesmerizing to watch.
No I think that's just the Internet and the ongoing issue with understanding another persons tone... And the fact that you don't know me at all.... You think I'm unqualified and I'm trying to being up cases that prove otherwise... What ever you deduct from my posting is your own insecurity. I can talk about my failures all day too - none of it embarrasses me... You know why?? Because I wake up, work hard, and try.... And put 110% in each and everyday with whatever I attempt. I don't walk away feeling bad after something doesn't work out, it's the cards that are dealt in some hands...
Also removing the negative vibes allowed people to Do what they were there to do... WORK. You must have worked a few days in your life a job you didn't like right? When you are doing the job everyone can tell you hate the job and don't want to be there? It's the same concept here... If all the employees thought the business was going to fail, they wouldn't help customers proactively, they would t stock the shelves quickly, they didn't check for quality.... It was a major hurdle for us to overcome and we didn't see it happening because we were so busy with our own roles until I watched the videos and saw their faces after the spoke with the nag... The sour face they got from talking to him would remain all day... It's not just about the numbers and the $, it's about the people behind that... I should say it's hardly about the $ it's not why a good entrepreneur does anything it's just a way to keep score. The bookeeper didn't understand that because he was black and white and didn't Care that we took the undertaking because the three of us enjoyed building and would shell out the losses for two years like people who are mobiles in the industry told us to expect. It only took two months for things to change and go well... And we didn't change much in the operation except get rid of a bookkeeper and to make the OCD partner take care of that....

We are 70 days away from the trip the only thing that hasn't been determined is the shuttle status! That will be figured out in the next few days as I finally got put in touch with the right person.... Simple as that!
Please don't assume you know how I raise my children. And as far as the "kid" remark. Right now you are acting like a child, so I will treat you as such.
And no, maybe you should read back and see how much work other people have done for you that you are now taking credit for, and will add to you long list of stuff you love about yourself.

There are no refunds on tickets unless the trip is cancelled for any reason. If someone doesn't want to come because they dont trust me to get them there they can talk to me about it and I will refund the money. So far so good not one person has asked for their money back and am only getting emails not to sweat this cluster of trolls...
How is it poor execution, just because of the possible walking? I haven't heard of any other reasons thus far.....

I'm sorry I didnt take credit for anyone else's work.... And from the beginning have been appreciative of everyone positive critiquing... There's a way to say it and, there is a way to say it.... you have been attacking me from the get go some of it constructive and some of it slanderous and libel.
I apologize for telling you how to raise your children. That's is your own personal business.
Almost everyone on here that was giving you pointers before you decided to be a tool has been an active member of this board and the festival for a number of years.
You sir are the one who popped on here with no knowledge what so ever and are now being rude becuase you don't like it when you aren't getting mad props for your dope idea.

I never got rude you just read the post incorrectly and my sentiment was not conveyed to you possibly. I believe I was called a whole bunch of names if you go back a little.
You are indeed correct that it probably wouldn't fall under the auspices of libel per se. But if I was a blood sucker it wouldn't stopmbe from subpeonaing inforoo, pro boards and your ISP and sending a complaint, and then filing for discovery. I've seen it happen time and time again. I'm not saying who would win or loose the case but it could be taken to court and cost people on the receiving side a pretty penny unless they don't have those pretty pennies to begin with. I highly doubt inforoo would object a subpeona for you ip address because it would cost them a bunch of cash to do so and nor would your ISP after they handed it over.
jniamehr: "I have an idea. It's the best idea ever."
Most everyone else: "Meh, really good idea. Poor execution. Go to Bonnaroo first and get a feel for the monster that it is, then try this good idea next year."
Jniamehr: "WAHHHHH!"
And I don't think anyone actually called you a rapist, I thought it was just said that the whole lack of details, answers, and credibility is a bit rapey.
Just to be clear I have no interest in doing so but just ask that you please refrain from getting into that grey area. It's just unnecessary. I value and respect your opinions and hope that you will show the same respect.
I didnt even start this post Karen.... You are acting so childish...
I never said it's the greatest idea ever, I think its a great idea and we will pull it off.... All that's meant by the last four pages at least from my side of the table is:
This is the first year I'm doing this. There maybe some bumps in the road so please be aware. I think I can leverage my experience and make it as smooth as possible and organize in the next 70 days a pretty awesome bus trip. I am looking for co-organizers (though not officially an organizer Carina has been great and thank you). None of the people who are or are not slandering me but are surely being rude know me. We will get to roo.
If you had been to Roo before you might have a clue what your in for. You havent, so it doesnt matter what else you have done. It makes it impossible for you grasp some legitimate concerns people have.

Exactly. Until you are there all of the e-mails and message boards in the world won't help you.
My kids have been attending music festivals since they were babies and have been to Bonnaroo, which makes them more qualified to put together this trip.
"... I started planning this about 24 days ago... Also am willing to bribe gatekeepers and staff to get as close as possible, ..."
and a few lines later,
" ....... here is why I think I'm qualified to organize this trip... Am able to put my ego behind and my ethical standard forward and tell the truth..."

Is there a contract at all? and why would anyone ask for their money back now? I dont book a plane ticket then ask for my money back. But I also have a contract that protects me as the consumer in case something happens with the airline.
As far as poor execution...
This is the first year I'm doing this. There maybe some bumps in the road so please be aware.
I think you answered this yourself. Just seems to me you're rushing to get this done (which Im not saying you cantpull it off) but when I have 50+ people's Bonnaroo in my hands I would absolutely make sure I had all my ducks in a row. And the fact you havent even ATTENDED this festival before let alone done a bus trip of this magnitude screams to me that maybe you should experience it first and plan for a really awesome smooth trip next year. This isnt taking a busload of seniors to the casino.

Enough said.
Yet you forget to mention that my commitment is to my customers (the bus guests) and the word bribing is used dramatically... you have never had to give a doorman or hostess a 20$-100$ bill for prompt service?
I look forward to the trip and to proving it a success with the help of the folks over at superfly
If you have help from them it will go a long way for your credibility. I think without it you are going to have a lot of trouble.
Am working on it I know that it would help with the credibility. My argument which tends to go unchecked here is that even without we will get to the roo festival grounds undoubtedly its just that people may have to walk, and if they are willing to do so they may buy a ticket.
I have been pretty clear about this since day one and people who go to the eventbrite page then to the FAQ/Idea page will see the same answers: nycbonnaroobus.idea.informer.com/

Bonnaroo does not have a doorman or hostess. It has alot of volunteers that barely know what they are doing when they follow the procedure at hand. They may take your money, but you'd be wasting it. It also has 80,000 people all trying to park in a field on the same day.
Your going to be sitting in traffic for hours, I sat one year for 12 hours. If your plan is to bribe the people at the gate, I think you need a new plan. Experience tells me that is a fail. Seriously, I'm not saying you cant succeed, but you need to take some advice about some things. If i sat on your bus for 16 hrs to get there, then 4-6 more hours in line. And got turned around at the toll booths i'd be pissed off at you. Do you think they are gonna let you unload 50 people and their gear right there?
Some things you just have to see with your own eyes to understand.
